Casted

I walked through the audition doors,
Crossing my fingers, hoping they liked me..
I have waited my whole life to audition for Stranger Things, and it's nerve racking,
Being up there, for hundreds of people
To decide whether or not you're worth the role, and whether you're good or not,
"Sam?" They called
I stood up and grabbed my things,
My mom followed behind me,
"Page 24, read Millie's lines"
Carmen spoke up,

"Mike? Mike?! I need to see him!"
I screamed and began crying,
David responded reading his lines back,
"You can! Soon! When it's safe!"
"When is soon?!"
I screamed once again,
Carmen looked impressed, but I wasn't sure,
Maybe she was pretending so I felt good..
After 15 minutes of reading, they stopped me,
"That's enough, thank you for your time. We will call you if we're interested."
Carmen fixed her papers and sent me off,
I left the room and as soon as we stepped out of the building I broke down,

"You did amazing, I promise sweetie."
My mom pulled me in for a hug,
I stood there, crying on her shoulder,
I felt like I did a horrible job,
Like I wasn't good enough for the role,
"We will get a call back, I promise."
We had 4 days to kill In New York,
Season 3 began filming soon,
I was so nervous and excited at the same time,
I wanted this role so badly,
It could be my big break,
It could help me pursue acting and follow my dreams,
We sat in the taxi, as I had both headphones in listening to Midnight Harlem by Tedeschi Trucks Band,
I closed my eyes and day dreamed,
About what would happen if I got the role,
I pictured Me, Millie, Noah, Finn, Caleb and Gaten all standing on the stage at the SAG awards, accepting the award for Best Tv Show of the Year,
I smiled silently to myself and continued day dreaming,
There I was, accepting an award, reading my speech and thanking my friends and family,
My co workers, and The Duffer Brothers,

After 30 minutes, we arrived at the hotel,
We grabbed our bags and headed inside,
My mom greeted the hotel keeper and we walked on, to room 204, our room.
My mom unlocked the room and we stepped inside.. i threw myself onto the bed and sighed,
"Sam, I'll be back in a bit. I have to get some groceries? Okay? I love you."
My mom grabbed her purse and headed out of the door,

I laid there by myself,
My body was shaking,
I was so nervous, I sat and waited for the phone to ring, even though I knew it would for a day at least,
I decided I should take a shower,
After all, I had been sweating all day,
I turned on my shower playlist and began singing to Midnight Harlem once again,

"Stayed In the cityyyyy, no acception to the rules to the rulessss."
I sang along,
I was mid washing my hair when the phone went off,
I ran out of the shower and grabbed a towel,
As I answered the phone I quickly said while out of breath

"Hello?!"
"Hi, this is house keeping, do you need a clean?"
I sighed in disappointment and began tearing up,
"No.. thank you though."
As I hung up I walked back over to the shower and hopped in again, disappointment filled my body once again,

This is torture.
