A Beronica Love Story

"I love..."

Veronica Lodge is headed to Archie Andrew's house. She needs to speak with him. She knocks his door, her heart pounding fast, he finally opens the door.

Archie: "What's up Ronnie, come in!"

Veronica: "Actually im not going to stay long. Archie...uh...um..."

Tears are watering down V's cheeks. The droplets one by one fall down her cheek.

"Archie, im sorry but it's over I-"

"Veronica what? why? I thought everything was going great!"

"Archiekins I still care for you but I can't help my feelings. I love someone else, I liked them since the beginning but I was so confused what I was feeling but time has come and I realized I am in love with that person. *Veronica starts crying harder* I know this is insanely difficult to hear but that does not mean we can't remain as friends right?"

Archie's voice replies with sadness and anger, " LEAVE. NOW."

Veronica snaps with worry, "Archie you don't hate me right? Im sorry. I know, I know sorry is just a word but I mean it!"

Archie shuts the door in front of her face. Through the window it is visible to see his eyes are filled with tears. He walks upstairs to his room.

Veronica walks home thinking, " I lost him. I lost one of my friends with that too. I feel so horrible for Archie. I just can't help what my heart feels for Betty. I should call her for some comfort."

V calls Betty who is on speed dial.

Betty picks up.

"Hey Veronica!"

"Hi Betty, ummm... I - I broke up with Archie."

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay? Why?"

Veronica's mind: "What do I say?! I can't tell her it's because im in love with her. What if she does not feel the same way?"

Betty's mind: "Please say me. If the reason is me then I'll know she loves me back. I love Jughead but I've always loved her. I've been too scared to admit it. What if she does not feel the same way?"

Veronica responds finally: "We just uhhh... argued a lot... we tried to hide it from you guys and work it through ourselves but it just left us to this. A break up."

Betty: "Oh...im...uh - im sorry to hear that. Let's get some milkshakes at Pops. That'll cheer you up. Meet you in 30 mins."
