How did You first hear about Nirvana/Kurt Cobain?

My Experience:
I had seen kids with t shirts and things and had brushed it off a smiley face on a t shirt. One day I was playing Song Pop and I heard SLTS on there. I really liked it and due to the objective of the game I knew that it was Nirvana. Never listened to them on ny own time even after hearing the song. A few years go by, I am watching a Shane Dawson Conspiracy Theory Video and he is talking about Kurt's death. The video plays a clip of Polly from the Unplugged set and I really really liked what I heard. I liked it so much that I went on spotify and listened to it.  I listened to some more on the Unplugged and liked them. I really liked Man Who Sold The World and just added a few more just to fill the playlist. I learned about Kurt and in all honesty it was weird for my youthful mind to comprehend that kind of thing. That led me to stop listening to Nirvana and listen to the 70s stuff I had listened to before and go through a huge Rod Stewart phase (I know, shut up). Well, things had happened and I went back to public school and it tore the life out of me. I couldn't enjoy the upbeat happy crap that I was enjoying. I needed emotion and relatibility. A true song with a real meaning. My mom was flipping through the radio stations and when we got to a classic station they were having a block (playing 2 or 3 songs in a row). I heard the guitar riff of SLTS and recognized while my mom was telling me things about Nirvana that I secretly already knew. Then, I heard Come As You Are and I was actually hooked immediately. I started listening to Nirvana fluently and actually started liking their songs. They became a band that I like every song I hear by them and everytime I listen to a song I haven't heard by them, I always like it. I thoroughly can say that Nirvana is my favorite. The relatibility of Kurt's lyrics is so strong. One of my personal favorites is "I miss the comfort in being sad" from Frances Farmer. There is truly a state of content in being sad and miserable because when you're happy it just feels weird.
