*Kayla's POV*
It was the first day of senior year. I was excited to walk into the doors of Midland High School again. I went to the cafeteria and it looked so different; it had an all-you-can-eat buffet, Starbucks, and a whole lot more. It was turning into a more posh high school. I love it. Then I saw my best friend Allison who was a cheerleader. "Kay Kay!" I heard her voice screaming. "Ali!" I screamed back and ran towards her, as she was running to me. We hugged very tightly and then went to our normal table with all our friends. "Hey!" said my softball buddies Cierra and Makayla. My colorguard friends Sarah and Catherine came to the table a few seconds later. We all said our hellos and everything and now we were chitchatting about senior year. Catherine shared the news of getting assistant colorguard captain. "Congratulations!" I excitedly screamed in a whisper. She smiled a very pretty smile and thanked us. The first bell to class rang for a good 10 seconds letting everyone know they need to get to class. I gathered my belongings and went to my first class: Calculus. I sat next to Catherine in Calculus class and listen to the teacher, Mrs. Webster fit the entire class period. We were getting started on it classwork when the bell rang so we had homework. This happened in the rest of my classes. Then, I had softball practice.
