A/n : This is based on the song River by Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran. So before reading this imagine, please listen to the song. It's a pretty good song in my opinion, not bcoz Ed and Eminem did a collab, but because the lyrics mean so much and I can understand the pain the couple went through.

The weather in magnolia was currently unstable. The rain had been pouring for the past two weeks with occasional pauses in between. The whole of Magnolia was blanketed by grey clouds. Temperature dropped. People began to fall ill. No one dared to step outside their comfort zones. It was like life had come to a halt in the bustling streets of Magnolia. The Fairy Tail guild knew the cause behind the rain, but only two knew the reason behind the rain and them being - Natsu and Juvia.

Juvia was currently walking on the wet pavements of Magnolia, her face currently flush with the recent activities. A small smile etched her face as she remembered the feeling of Natsu deep within her, causing flames to grow all over her body, leaving her a moaning mess who could see nothing but stars. Who knew sex with Natsu was that good? But obviously, even though it was mind blowing, it never came close to how Gray did it. But the reminder of his name, removed all signs of joy from her face.

Gray Fullbuster - her husband of four years, father of an unborn or as she would say, a murdered baby girl. Things with him seemed like rainbows and unicorns but she never expected it to end into a game of chess, with both the opponents calculating one another's moves. Sometimes, she believes that they are a perfectly happy couple, but how was she to deny that? They were a perfectly happy couple. Until it happened.

These days she doesn't know who she should blame? She should she blame herself for not noticing it firsthand? Or should she blame Gray for not being able to keep it within his pants? But there are days where she puts the blame on her, mostly because she never expected her to do something immoral like that. The last thing she ever feared of was, coming home to only greet the sight of Gray and Lucy at it. Sadly, fate seemed to love making her nightmares come true.

She should have stopped him the moment he began to have late night conversations with Lucy. She shrugged it off, I mean after all it was Lucy! (And if there was one thing that anyone knew about Lucy, it was her unwavering love and loyalty towards her friends, her comrades and her husband Natsu). She should have prevented Gray from meeting Lucy and then coming home late. It used to happen once a month, which then turned to twice a month, then once a week, then twice a week and then almost every day. But Juvia being Juvia shrugged it off. Afterall Lucy had met Gray before she did and she knew that Gray loved her like a sister, so what did she have to fear? But if only she knew.

Shivering, Juvia wrapped her arms around her, trying to warm herself. Her nails dug into her sides, and she harshly bit her lips. If only she knew..........all those days that Gray held her, whispered I love you into her ear as he made "love" to her. All those days he touched her after touching her, it just sickens her. The fact that he dared to say that he cares for her, and that she is the only one for him, and the very fact that he broke his own vow, it just downright disgusts her now. She wishes she could wash him off her, but she knows she can't. So she decided it was time to do it.

It was time to end their marriage.

But as usual, fate had other plans. She was pregnant. Yes, Juvia who was told by doctors that she could probably never bear a child because of the blows her uterus had suffered, was pregnant. She finally felt a ray of hope surging through her. Maybe this child was a way of bringing him back and for the first time in three months Juvia smiled. She soon welcomed her husband home cheerfully, baked breads, cleaned the house, washed the clothes and did everything that she usually did. One month pregnant, Juvia felt it was time to break the news.

Quiet as a panther, she leaped onto her husbands back and kissed his shoulder blades. he simply chuckled and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her to the front. He pressed a kiss on forehead and asked her what was it that was making her so happy. She blushed and placed a hand on her belly. Gray didn't understand, until realization hit him like a fret train. A frown replaced and wiped the joy out of him and he said the one thing that she never expected him to ever say:

"Abort the child"

Tears escape her eyes as she recalls the day. She does no effort to stop them. Almost simultaneously, the sky also began to shed tears with her.

Betrayal, broken heart, empty womb.

Thirst for more, Revenge, Hatred.

Lost Friendship, Lost Love, Buried Promises.

Deep in thought, Juvias hazy vision saw a familiar house - her house. Wiping her tears quickly, she tried to fake a smile. Even though its been years, Juvia has gone back to her old habit of swallowing her pain and faking a smile.

She reached the door and knocked on the door twice. But all she ever received was silence. She wanted to knock on the wood once again, until she noticed that the door was slightly open. With her guard open, she opened the door slowly. The creaky door opened to reveal an empty house with no life in it.

"Gray-sama?" she called out. Yes, he doesn't deserve that much respect but it was a habit, one that no matter how hard she tries, she couldn't get rid off. She slowly walked up the stairs and headed towards the bedroom which had the door open. She saw a small note on the bed. Opening it she read:

I've been a liar, been a thief

Been a lover, been a cheat

All my sins need holy water

Feel it washing over me

Well, little one I don't

Want to admit to something

If all it's gonna cause is pain

Truth and my lies right now

Are falling like the rain....

So let the river run

~ Gray

And before she knew it she had crumpled onto the floor curling into a ball. Tears flowed out of her eyes endlessly. She didn't know what to do? All these years she had tried to be the best girlfriend, even if it meant to sacrifice her life for him, just like Gwen Stacey. But all she ever does now is spite her man. And even though it hurts, she doesn't know a life without him, afterall he was the one who showed her the blue skies, introduced her to friends and even showed her what true love feels like. But now that he has left her, she doesn't know who is at fault! It is very clear that he regrets his actions, but the fact that he regrets his actions, makes her feel guilty and regret hers.

Now who was the lover and who was the cheat?
