The Mask

There's a person.

They are your age.

They always try to make everyone smile.

Try to make everyone laugh.

Try to make everyone happy.

But who will make them happy?

They wear a mask with a smile on it!

They wear it at home, at school, hanging out with friends.

All the time.

Everyday.

But as they wear that mask.

Their face gets sadder and every time they are alone.

They cry for no reason.

People say they cry because they moved a lot.

When they make friends they have to move again and leave them again.

The moving effects their grades.

They never see their family.

They are looked down on, used! bullied and abused!

But they still smile.

Always Laughing.

I wonder why?

I don't think they know either.

I think it's because they don't want others to feel the same way they do.

Or they are afraid to turn out like the father they never had.

The one that is selfish, Never comes around, Always treating them like his best friend.

Picking his girlfriends over his children!

They go into their own little world to escape the harsh reality.

Singing, Dancing Doing whatever they love!

They thought of Suicide but they think they don't want to hurt all of the people that loves them.

They never liked seeing people cry.

They don't even like seeing themselves cry.

So they wear a mask to hind their sadness from themselves and others.

And that person could or could not be you?
