7. Perfect

A/N : A number of you guys mentioned wanted me to write more Happy!Gruvia. So the next two or three will be happy ones. Enjoy!

It was a normal day. The skies were clear. The sun was shining. Children were laughing happily. Mages had left for missions. Mages had arrived from missions. The Fairy Tail Guild was surprisingly still in one piece. Earlier that morning a fight broke out between Natsu and Gray (as usual) and ended up dragging in Elfman and Gajeel and then half of the guild (as usual). And then someone accidentally knocked Erza's cake (as usual) and then Erza almost murdered everyone (as usual). Then Laxus, who was beginning to grow annoyed with the ever growing noise, stuck a thunder bolt and zapped everyone back into their senses (as usual!)

Gray was now sitting upon a table, with Juvia in between his legs. A small groan and a whine escaped his lips occasionally. Juvia squeezed the cotton ball once again before dabbing it on his face gently. But this time she had pressed a little too hard on an open wound. "Juvia"he hissed.

Now usually whenever Gray was in pain, Juvia would do anything to make him feel better but this time she was angry. More like, angry at the fact that she was concerned about him. Angrily, she grabbed his face and looked him in the eye "Maybe if Gray-sama had listened to Juvia, then Gray-sama wouldn't have to hiss in pain." she growled. Gray furrowed his eyebrows at her. He did not expect that.

"Juvia" he spoke softly. He reached his hand out and rubbed her arm. Juvia who was still upset didn't bother to look at him. Instead she focused on cleaning him up and dressing his wounds. Gray sighed. He knew how upset Juvia got everytime he came out of a silly fight with Natsu. He stopped rubbing her arm and instead grabbed her chin with his index finger and thumb and forced her to look at him. "Juvia look at me." Juvia bit her lip and looked at him.

A soft smile was on his lips and he looked at her warmly. "Why are you upset?" he asked her gently. Juvia mumbled something under her breath and looked away with a red face. "Juvia, I didn't hear you. Can you speak a little louder?" Gray raised his voice a little.

"..........what if something had happened to Gray-sama? What if Gray-sama got hurt badly and died? What if-" her small rambling stopped with his index finger. She looked up at the finger and traced it, all the way into the eyes of the origin. She exhaled deeply but didn't protest or say a word.

Without a word, Gray pulled her close and she rested her head in the crook of his neck. He locked his legs around her, trapping her in a cage. He placed a small kiss on her forehead and wrapped his arms around her. Juvia began to absentmindedly draw small spirals on his chest.

He leaned down and whispered into her ear "But I'm not dead right? I'm still alive right?" Juvia opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it. Silently she nodded her head. A smile began to grow on his lips. "And either way I don't plan on leaving you soon so......." he lightly nudged the top of ear with his nose, earning a giggle and blush from the water mage. With loving eyes and a flustered (yet happy) face, she looked at him. "I love you"

The ice mage simply chuckled and said "I love you too." He pressed a kiss on her cheek and rested his chin on the top of her head. Subconsciously he tightened his grip around her as he closed his eyes and swayed slightly.

In the background, Juvia could hear Lucy scolding Natsu for messing up the guild hall all the while emptying her wallet. Erza was seen talking to Wendy while asking for another slice of strawberry cake. Jet and Droy were arguing over whom Levy liked more out of the two, while Levy sat curled up in a corner, looking at the sleeping Iron Dragon Slayer, holding her book like a protective shield. Mira was talking to Laxus and Master while Kinana was clearing tables. Lisanna was holding Elfmann before he could lay a blow on Evergreen. Freed kept complaining about how Laxus didn't talk to him during their previous mission. Happy was wooing Carla, Pantherlily was eating a kiwi fruit, Asuka was dancing with Alzack while Bisca stared at her loving family. Reedus was painting Romeo and Bickslow was fast asleep near the window.

Juvia sighed happily. This was another perfect day for her.
