A little while later, after I talked to Amy, Ethan and I sat together on our cushy sectional, watching T.V. together. A Harry Potter marathon, to be exact, that we've been working on for a couple of days. We were on Harry Potter and thr Half-Blood Prince. It didn't take that long to watch them. Unless you had kids.
So we sat, or he sat, while I was laying with my head in his lap. I must have fallen asleep at some [oint, because I found myself here, with a crocheted blanket thrown over me.
I blinked, shaking my head to clear it of sleep and blinked up at him. He was absent mindedly runnin his fingers through my hair while his eyes focused on the screen, smilng slightly."I've fallen.' I mumbled, sleepily rubbing my eyes, remering to me falling asleep durring one of our favorite movies, like some kind of peasant.
His smile broadened, and he glanced down at me. "Yep, you did." he replyed simply.
I pouted. "I've commited a sin." I groaned.
He laughed lightly. still playing with my hair. "No you didn't. You were up with Ollie all night. You're allowed to sleep." he told me.
Yeah, Oliver was particularly fussy last night. I had stayed with him in his nursery, watching him, worried that he was sick. He was fine, he just had an upset tummy.
I nod, silantly agreeing. Then we had to pause the movie because Danny had run in, having woken up from his nap.
"Hey, Daddy?" he asked Ethen, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
"Yeah buddy?" Ethan responded as I sat up.
"How old do I have to be before you'll let me spin?"
Ethan screwed up his face in confusion."What?"
Daniel was exasperated. "Spinning! Like you, you just go woop woop(he used his finger to make circles) backwards and you don't fall! How old do I have to be to do that?!"
Ethan blinked. "You mean a backflip?" he clarified.
Daniel nodded his head vigorously. "Yes! When can I do that too?" he demanded.
"Well, that depends. Do you want to learn? Do you want to do gymnastics?" Ethan asked him, glancing at me.
"Yes! Yes please! Please, please, Mama? Pretty please with boogers on top?" Danny replied, lighting up at the thought of being ablt to do that too.
Ethan looked at me. I shrugged, chuckling at the three year old. "That's your department Backflip Guy. But I'm okay with it. He's three years old. I checked. Three is more than safe to start if he wants." I told him, remembering how we met.
Ethan was really good at gymnastics. He was a level ten before he had to give it up for YouTube. That's actually how he got to know Mark. He had done a back flip for Mark twice and become known as the back flip guy.
So, since I had always wanted to do gymnastics, but life got in the way, I practiced it on my own time for a while, until I was able to do a back flip for him when we met by chance.
Flipping was kinda why our little family did. So I wasn't at all surprised that our son wanted in on the action. And so we signed our three year old up for gymnastics, Ethan holding is hand as we walked through the gym that tought it, and me holding Ethan's other hand, Oliver strapped to my chest in a baby wrap.
A few weeks after that, while at one of Daniel's practices, another mom came up to talk to me. She gestured to the baby strapped to my chest, with a smile.
"So how old is he?" she asked.I smiled back. "Oh, Oliver is nine weeks."I answered.
"Oh! He's so good. Is he your second, or do you have others at home?" she asked.
