Miles had somehow manage to scrape enough energy together to save his crying for the middle of the night. He managed to make it through each day without incident. He wasn't sure how but while his nights were brutal, his days were merciful. He had even been spending less time in is room and eating meals with his family. But each hour he got through brought him closer to his dreaded night time routine of crying himself to sleep.
After about a week, he had begun to repair his shattered heart. He was back to laughing and making jokes with his friends. He was still gripped with sadness each night, but he was getting better. He had even noticed one or two boys at school who would eye him as he walked the halls. He would blush but he was nowhere near ready for even thinking about that. He had taped the photo of Taehyung back together and put it back on the wall. He was going to print a new one but he thought the one with the tear in it was more appropriate. He still loved Taehyung and he wanted to remember him, but also not forgot the hurt.

It was Wednesday, a week and a half after the incident. Miles was sitting in a coffee shop with Alice and Timara.
"How are you feeling?" Timara asked.
"I'm fine. It's still hard sometimes but I'm dealing. It helps to have great friends too." he smiled, raising his mug. Alice, Nathan and Timara went into overdrive in comforting Miles. There were times he was honestly annoyed with the three of them.
"Well, I think it's about time we get you a rebound." Alice blurted out, making Miles sputter.
"Excuse me??"
"You've had long enough to mope, now hurry up and get on one of those apps. You need to bang something."
"Alice!" Miles choked in shock. "I'm not going on a rebound!"
"Why not?? This is just what you need. I'm not letting you crawl back into that pit and wait for the next Taehyung to pull you out."
Miles was flabbergasted. Timara smirked at him and Alice watched him with waiting eyes.
"I'll even help you!" Alice said after Miles had begun to stare out the window in shame that he even knew Alice. He thought he saw someone familiar for a second, his eyes narrowing to search the other side of the street. Is that...
"Hello? Are you going to let me help you or not?"
"I don't want to but I know I can't stop you." Miles sighed.
"It's not like you're going to get married, it's just a hook up. On Friday let's go clubbing and then we'll see about finding you a snac!" Timara said.
"Oh, God!" Miles cringed.

It was Friday night and Miles was in his room with Timara, Alice and Nathan. The girls had rejected Miles' chosen outfit the moment they saw it, proceeding to drag him back to his room. They were currently rifling through his closet.
"Do you own anything decent??" Alice asked in shock, holding up a button down shirt with disgust.
"Hey! I like that shirt!" Miles interjected.
"Yes, well, it's not you we're trying to impress." Alice said, turning back to the closet.
After several minutes of bickering, Miles emerged from the bathroom in his new outfit. It was simple yet attractive, according to Timara. Even Nathan approved. He looked in the mirror and saw a boy in a black leather jacket, white t-shirt and dark blue jeans. A pair of red converse completed his neutral look with a pop of colour. Timara began styling his overgrown brown locks and concluded that he was at last ready to be seen in public.
