The annoying beeping was blaring in my ears again. I pulled my pillow over my head to hopefully cancel out the sound. The recognizable noise was still going and I had no choice but to finally get out of bed.
My phone read 6:32 am and I knew I had only an hour to get ready until Bella came to pick me up. Bella's my best friend and practically one that every girl dreams of having.
Reluctantly, I got out of my warm blanket and be awoken to the frigid world. I had realized my window was left open after the pungent smell of burnt popcorn filled my room when I tried watching Netflix last night. It was a long story, don't ask.
I went to turn on my shower and warm up the water. Grabbing my phone, I went to Spotify and started playing Billie Jean by EDEN. He's honestly my favorite artist because all of his songs have a special meaning and story to them.
After getting out of the shower I put on a natural makeup look, still keeping it light because you know pimples. Those dirty little bastards.
I grabbed my favorite Adidas hoodie that was maroon, a pair of distressed skinny jeans and my black converse. I decided not to do anything special so, I to put my brunette hair into a high ponytail. This was honestly my basic look for any school day. I mean who doesn't like to be comfy at school?
Grabbing my phone and book bag, I headed downstairs for breakfast. I could already hear the loud noises coming from my little brother and sister, Abigail and Tyler.
Seeing as they were fighting, as usual, I slid past them to grab some toast and oatmeal. I sat down and was listening to the constant bickering from my siblings,
"Give it back!" Abigail exclaimed.
"Who said it was yours in the first place?" Tyler retorted back at her.
"Oh, I don't know maybe because I had the remote first!"
"Says who?"
"Says me!"
"Okay, hey hey hey calm down you too," I intervened their argument, "why don't you both watch the same show?"
"Ugh, are you kidding me, Emily? I am NOT going to watch her little princess shows."
"Well, I don't want to watch your dumb Transformers." Abigail then crossed her arms.
"Princesses!"
"Transformers!"
"Enough!" I yelled, "you too are not going to watch any tv if you're going to argue like this. Either pick a show you BOTH like to watch or you can sit on that couch until mom comes to take you to school."
Both Tyler and Abigail walked to the couch with crossed arms mumbling under their breath. It's pretty much like this every single morning. I'm so glad my mom didn't come down in time to watch this mess. It would've ended in crying and pleading. Let's say my mom's a little strict.
I walked back to the kitchen island to finish my breakfast. My mom finally came downstairs in her dress attire. She works at a law firm almost all day so I rarely see her.
"Well I see you quieted them down for me, thank for that." she chuckled.
"Yeah, I don't want to see them cry again after getting grounded that other time."
"Hey, I have to force the discipline here since your dad's been gone."
Oh the thing with my dad yeah, he's in the army and right now he was drafted to go to Afghanistan and I guess protect. I never really tried to get into all the soldier talk, it always freaked me out.
