It was the first day of the journey, and I was already regretting it. We were in a desert that seemed to go on forever and we were complaining like hell.

"How much further?" Sylvia said with a groan.

"About an eternity and a half!" I replied sarcastically as I rolled my eyes.

"If she had just left the damn thing in the beacon we wouldn't be in this mess!" Draco said, "I warned her!"

"Okay, um, who wants a drink?" I said, "I think I see an oasis over there."

"Nice!" Prince, I said, "My canteen is nearly empty."

"So is mine," I said in reply. It was around eight-thirty, so we were all pretty tired. Days are short and tiring here in Pixel. As we arrived at the oasis, We allocated jobs for the night.

"Alright, Listen Up." Madame Spud announced looking down at a clipboard, "Panda, House duty. Sylvia, food duty with Draco-"

"Wonderful" Draco interrupted sarcastically

Madame Spud continued, ignoring Draco " Me and Prince I are on protection duty and.. RaRa you're on... temperature duty." She looked up from her clipboard and said: "Go." We all ran off to our jobs, not wanting to disobey her.

I was on house duty, and, although I enjoyed doing it, it was usually Purple's job, and she put up some intense competition because man can she build a house. Her hero is a guy called Grian, and she always was attending his build battles at convention centres. He's REALLY good. I started to build the house, and I decided to go for a desert temple type of style. Quite fitting.

"Anyone have any sandstone?" I asked the group

"Yeah, I found some in Purple's Chests'" Madame spud said quickly stopping at mob-proofing the surrounding area with torches to hand the blocks to me

"Thanks!"

----------

Around an hour or so later, we had all finished our jobs. Madame Spud and Prince I had finished mob-proofing the area surrounding the oasis, RaRa had made sure we were all cool by making some cold water streams float above our beds, and Sylvia and Draco had made dinner (though Draco did nothing but complain).

"Ooh! What's for dinner?" I asked as I sat down on some logs Sylvia had made with a nearby palm tree

"Stir Fry, my favourite!" She replied.

Madame Spud looked impressed and said, "This looks nice good job!"

We all dug in.

"This is the best stir fry ever!" I exclaimed, mumbling with my mouth full

Everyone grunted in agreement.

----

I yawned as  I woke up from my bed.
"Anyone awake?"
Judging from the suns position, it was probably around five in the morning, way before anyone else wakes up. I decided to make use of myself and headed outside to cook some breakfast and pack up our backpacks again. I blew a tune into my flute and it turned into a frying pan. I grabbed some eggs from our food shulker box as well as some milk. Whisking them together with the bowl that Sylvia used to make the stir-fry sauce the night before, and poured some of the mixtures into the frying pan.

~

"Ok, let's go." Madame Spud said
We had finished packing up all our stuff, and I had planted some new palm trees from the saplings we got from the leaves.
"I think we're ready." I said after having one more look around "and I've secured our house so if another passerby needs somewhere to stay they can go here."
Draco snorted and said, "are we actually going to leave?"
"Yu1p" I replied as we walked off into the distance.
