Suki held Azura for a long time as he cried. We all just watched and stayed quiet. Azura's cries would eventually stop but only because he had passed out. Ares volunteered to carry him so we let him. Eventually we returned to our HQ and brought Azura to his room. All of us went to the living room of our HQ to hold a meeting besides Azura who was unconscious and Alice who refused to leave her sons side. She wanted to stay with him. Alice had let her son get tortured twice. We don't blame her for wanting to stay by his bedside.
"Well... at least we got Az back." Yashiro sighs and crosses his arms "Question is... what's gonna happen to him? Is he... him again?"
"I think it's safe to say he is." Sena nods.
"Yeah... He's definetly him." Suki smiles softly as she stares at the floor, her fingers intertwined.
"Arvo changed him though... I wonder if his skills have gotten stronger..." Ares thinks and shakes his head "I just hope he can control himself."
"I think we're forgetting to mention something though..." I speak up and look at everyone "His eye." I sigh. His right eye was changed. It's going to be permanently red now. "Should we... get an eyepatch for him or something?" I ask softly
"If we come across one we can give him it. Its too dangerous to go outside and search for a single eyepatch." Ares sits down and closes his eyes "Honestly we should all just rest up for now... today was long and you all might not even know how exhausted you are."
"I agree. We should continue this in the morning." I nod and all of us besides Ares heads to our rooms.

*clash*
*clash*
"...Ah-!" I gasp out as I fall to my kneesAnother failed attempt. I hold my arm and wince.
"She's at it again... she has it rough. Only 10 years old and is still trying to be on the same level as the greats..." I hear someone whisper to their friends.
I have no time to make friends. I have to train. Push myself harder. I won't let my age define how much I can take. So what if I'm 10? I can become a Guardian... I'll just prove Fate wrong. I can become a Guardian!
I pant heavily and fall over onto my back drenched in sweat. I've been training for hours. The moon was already out. I managed to pull myself to my knees and sit there on the ground like that. My weapon laid out in front of me.
...
...
...
...Why?
Why is Fate so cruel?
What does Fate have in store if I'm not to become the Ultimate Guardian? I don't want to live a life that has no purpose.
But can I oppose Fate like that?
...No. Fate can't be changed.
This is my Fate. If I can't be a Guardian... then maybe Fate has something else in store for me. Fate wouldn't let my skills be put to waste......Right?
---------------------------------------------------------
...
...
...
...!
My eyes shoot open and I sit up gasping.
Just a dream... A memory from my childhood.
Countless hours training in hopes to be recognized. In hopes Sena would come back and claim me as the Ultimate Guardian.
How foolish I was.
Fate had other plans.
Ultimate Bounty Hunter...
It's something.
Fate works in weird ways... but why so cruel?
I get up and quitetly head to Azura's room.
Still passed out...
I go to his bedside and stare at him.
...
...
Why?
Fate... why so cruel to him? Hasn't he been through enough? Tortured twice... Ultimate Killing Machine... Ultimate Despair... What did this boy do to deserve such a Fate? He just wanted to live a life full of love and happiness. With his mother... Sena... his friends in Hope's Peak...
Hope's Peak... The 75th Class Killing Game... Azura watched friend after friend fall victim in a game he couldn't stop... How much has he suffered? Isn't this enough?
I sigh softly and get up to return to my room. I fall over onto my bed and stare up at the ceiling.
...Have I been wrong?
Is Fate really...? Can it be...?
...I'm not sure anymore...
I sigh once more before closing my eyes and drifting back to sleep.
---------------------------------------------------------
The Next Morning things were almost the same. Azura was still out, Alice was in Azura's room and the rest of us was in the main living space."Shouldn't one of us stay upstairs with Alice just in case he's still in Azura Kiyo mode?" Yashiro asks
"I can volunteer..." Rin says softly and Sena shakes her head "I don't think you could stop Azura if he went nuts..." He pulls Rin up to her lap.
"I could go up..." Suki starts and I sigh
"Just let me... You all can discuss what's next." I get up and head upstairs before another objection could be made.
I silent enter to see Alice holding one of Azura's hands as he slept.
"...I don't know if falling for him was good or not." Alice says. She must of heard me come in. "I'm talking about Genki of course... if I didn't fall for him... there'd be no Azura. What would of happened?" She shakes gently
"Alice... You... Look... I know you need someone to tell you everything will be fine and stuff but I'm literally the worst. I say it how it is. Azura... he's damaged. He may not be the same Azura if he even wakes up." I start but stop.
Alice stopped shaking
"...Is that what you think is in store for him? What Fate has in store?" She looks at me with serious eyes "My baby boy is more stronger than Fate... he did what you think is impossible... He changed his own Fate. In your reasoning, he was Fated to be the Ultimate Killing Machine but he changed it. He became the Ultimate Guardian. Yin..."
My eyes widen
"...Fate can be changed."
---------------------------------------------------------
I was silent for the rest of the day. Once the meeting was done we all were in Azura's room hoping he'd wake up......
...
Fate...
Can be changed?
"Ugh..." We hear a groan and our eyes widen as Azura sits up holding his head. He opens his eyes.
His right eye... it's still red.
Some of us get in a defensive position
"...Guys? Why the hostility...?" Azura smirks a bit and rubs the back of his head with a small sad smile "...Sorry." He sighs and looks down
"I'm back."
