in the next part of his adventure, kevin goes on a journey through the hoenn region and meets new pokemon, battles new characters and much more. this is the third book in the series, i would suggest reading the other books:
POKEMON a new journey...
The ferry slowly pulls into the dock of little root town, Kevin gets off the ferry and starts to walk into town. a memory flashes across his mind, kyra tells him that she is going to the sinnoh region to try to win contest keys, they split up and went there separate ways. "dont worry Kevin... you can always go and visit." he whispers to himself. Kevin gets to town and hears a battle going on in the street festival, two trainers and there Pokemon are battling, one is an electric type and the other a fire type, i dont recognize them, so i hurry to the professors lab to get my new Pokemon.
Kevin finally reaches the door to the professors lab and reaches for the handle, the door opens before he can grab it, he gets out of the way, and see's Aaron walk out. He notices Kevin. "oh hey there! what brings you here Kevin?" he asks. "hey Aaron! i came to the hoenn region to participate in the hoenn league." Kevin explains. "well, i give you good luck, the professor is actually out right now, i came by to drop off some of his requested items." says Aaron,
"really? well then do you know where i can find him?" i ask. "well the most likely place would be... route 101, which is just outside the town actually." he says giving me a smile. "well thanks, ill see ya later!" i say running off. i make it to the outside of town and hear someone yelling for help. i quickly run to the person in need and find a man in a lab coat. his bag is on the ground in the bushes, he is being chased by a wild Pokemon. "You there!!! please help me! can you defeat this Pokemon?!" he screams at me.
"i dont have any!" i yell out to him. "quick then! in my bag! there are three Pokemon! hurry! i cant run for much longer!!!" he yells. i quickly run to the bag and look at the pokeballs. they all open and three Pokemon come out. i notice a red machine on the ground, i pick it up and know what it is instantly, a pokedex! i quickly exchange the reader chip and turn it on, i scan all of them quickly:

Mudkip the Mud Fish Pokemon
The fin on Mudkip's head acts as highly sensitive radar. Using this fin to sense movements of water and air, this Pokemon can determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes.

The Chick Pokemon
Torchic sticks with its Trainer, following behind with unsteady steps. This Pokemon breathes fire of over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, including fireballs that leave the foe scorched black.
