Once apon a time in a city not unlike your own, lived a girl not unlike yourself.
Better? Good! Ugh. . .
Meet Halyn Fisher. Average grades, average looks, plain in everyway. She isn't emo, or popular, she isn't nerdy or geeky, well she is those things but she doesn't dress like it. There's nothing to really make her stand out. And that's the way she likes it.
Meet Adela Perce. Low grades, gorgeous, stands out in every way possible. She's the top of the top of the social ladder, she is the Queen Bee, and a massive Bitch. She dresses like a pink princess straight out of Vitoria's Secrete. And that's the way she likes it.
These two have more in common than you would think. They go to the same high school, Dreamer High, grew up in the same city Ulles City, are the same age, 18 years old, and they used to be best friends. Yep emphasis on used to be. Adela had ditched Halyn like last year's handbag at the start of Middle school.
Halyn had long forgiven Adela for that, but she wouldn't forget it for a while. No one would, because everyone remembers when the Dynamic Duo broke up. It was a day that would live in infamy among the student's of Dreamer High, no doubt about that. Because Halyn didn't blow up when her best friend set her up for a little surprise after school. No Halyn just sighed before pushing her, now soaking wet hair, back from her face and walking away.
They ignored each other now, parted ways and hoped they wouldn't run into the other. It worked for some time, all the way up to their Senior year. It was known of Adela's hatred for the other girl, even the teachers knew, because Adela had thrown a fit over being paired up with Halyn for a history project. And because Adela's Daddy was a huge donator to the school, they did as she asked.
Adela's Daddy was a huge lawyer, and her Mom was a well known Realtor. She was loaded.
Halyn's Dad had left her mom when she was four mouths pregnant, her Mom worked two jobs at any one time, and they still barely had enough money to pay all the bills. That's why Halyn had an after school job of walking dogs, and her other job at a local book store by the name of The Dreamer's Café.
Adela's Dad was Japanese and her mom was Caucasian, she had straight black hair and porcelain skin. She looked like one of those dolls, the fancy one's that your grandparents just had for some reason. She was tall and had legs for days. Beautiful was one word to describe her.
Halyn had light brown skin, her father was white and her mother had slightly darker skin than she did. Her brown hair was usually in a braid. The only thing that really stood out about her looks wise were her eyes, grey and startling, they could sweep someone off their feet, if she would ever make eye contact with someone.
They were incompletely different social circles, Adela was with the populars, she was a cheerleader, dated ever jock there was at their school, and there was no one in the entire school who didn't know who she was. Halyn has about five friends who aren't very close with her, and she just did her work at school, she didn't have time for extra curriculars, she just did her work and kept her head down.
Now, you've heard about two of our main characters.
Let's get the story, shall we?
