The big game

It was a day like any other... well not exactly. I play football for my high school and we made it to the finals. Like everyone else, I was both nervous and excited. We've never made it to the semi-finals, much less the finals.
I was in the locker room for one of the coach's antagonizing pep talks when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. A small dark misty figure by the showers. I tried to ignore it because some of the players smoke in there time to time, so I shrugged it off.
When I went home that night I was exhausted so I grabbed a bite to eat and went to bed. Now I'm not scared of the dark, but I felt something watching me from the dark of my room. I had no clue who or what it was... or what it wanted. All I knew is that I was tired, and I had a big game tomorrow. So after another sweep around my room, closet, and personal secret hiding spots I had my friends help me build, I went to sleep.
The next morning I felt strange. I felt lighter on my feet, well-rested, but there was a burning pain sweeping all over my back. I looked in the mirror and there were three long scratches. It started on my left shoulder blade and led to the right side of my waist. If I had to bet, it was probably that thing I felt watching me in my room that night.
