The Goofy Exchange Student

CHAPTER 1~
[ 6:00 AM in the morning ]

Seolhyun is getting ready for school while realizing it's raining outside. Seolhyun puts on her school uniform and grabs her stuff to leave the house. Taking out her umbrella before leaving the house.

Seolhyun: Out of all the days, why does it have to rain today?

Today was a special day for Seolhyun. Her birthday is today and her best friend is visiting for America. Seolhyun's best friend is Naeun. Naeun went to America because her father started a new business there. Therefore, this left Seolhyun lonely.

Walking to school she spots someone familiar, the smart kid in class, Kim Namjoon. Seolhyun is ranked #2 in class right under Namjoon. She realized she zoned out and he is now looking back at her. Seolhyun shakes her head and nervously smiles at him. Namjoon just looks at Seolhyun and gives her a smirk and walks away.

(In Seolhyun's mind)

Seolhyun: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. DID THIS NAMJOON JUST SMIRK AT ME ?!

(In reality)

Seolhyun walks into the school building alone watching everyone else gather up with their friends and walk in groups. As she walks in she hears people whisper about her. Seolhyun is really uncomfortable because she doesn't know what they could be saying behind her back.

She walks into class, and to her seat. While waiting for class to start she notices a new student. Possibly the new exchange student everyone is gossiping about. Especially having the hots for.

The new student notices Seolhyun by herself. As he walks closer to her people start to whisper. Jin sits next to Seolhyun.

Jin: Hi, I'm the new exchange student. Is it okay if I sit here ?

Seolhyun: Sure, no one sits here anyways.

Jin: Okay cool.

Seolhyun: um, okay.

Jin: I actually wanted to tell you an animal joke, but it's Irrelephant.

Seolhyun: ...

Jin's laugh sounds literally like someone wiping a window. But it's pretty funny that it made Seolhyun laugh with him. I look in the background and people are whispering about Jin sitting next to Seolhyun.

The teacher comes in and steps up to the podium.

Teacher: Hello, and good morning everyone. Today we have a new exchange student, so please welcome him.

Everyone claps as he walks up to the podium.

Jin: Hello my name is Kim Seok Jin.

All the girls stare at his face in awe. They all start whispering about his looks and his cute personality. Jin waves and walks back to his seat, next to Seolhyun.

Jin: Did I look nervous ?

Jin says while fixing his hair and smiling at Seolhyun.

Seolhyun: No, you looked pretty confident.

Jin: Ah, of course I would. I'm so confident in my looks too.

Seolhyun: I've seen better.

Jin: Really ? Are you sure he isn't sitting in front of you ?

Seolhyun: One hundred percent.

Jin: You are really funny, but at least I know you are lying.

Seolhyun: Go flirt with other girls, I'm not into it.

Jin: Okay then, I will. But don't worry, I'll come back to you. You are my first choice, and will never be my last.

Seolhyun: Are you kidding ? We just met.

Jin: Hey, I had to at least give it a try lol.

Seolhyun: Okay

They both laugh as people look towards our direction. Everyone seems like they are gossiping, Seolhyun really hope's that's she doesn't get caught up in some horrible scandal. Class ends and Seolhyun walks home waiting for Naeun to arrive.
