"So... Tell me a little about yourself." Justin asks as we grab ice cream while walking through the mall
"Well... I'm eighteen. I'll be graduating in like three weeks. Um... My favorite color is blue... And I like to wear purple."
"Oh? What color is your prom dress?" He asks.
"It's actually a wine color. It's really pretty." I say blushing.
"Are you excited?" He chuckles.
"Yeah. I am. I mean I wasn't at first."
"Why not?"
I take a deep breath. Do I really want to bring up the asshole?
"Um... My date dumped me." I mumble.
"Awe... I'm sorry." He consoles.
"It's okay. I mean... I would've went by myself if you hadn't..." I stop mid sentence.
"Well I did. And I'm kinda glad."
"Y-you are?" I stammer.
"Yeah... I never got a chance to go to my prom." He says.
"Oh... I forgot about that." I say. "Well I'll try to make this a night to remember for you."
"But it's your prom." He says.
"I know... But I feel bad. You've never had a prom and this is my second one."
He laughs a little. "Yeah you're right. But this is still your night, so... It's my job to make your night very special."
He walks closer to me, our lips inches from each other.
"You're very beautiful Jasmine." He breathes leaning into me.
"And that guy that dumped you... Is crazy as fuck."
I laugh at his words. "T-thank you."
"No need to thank me." He says pecking my cheek.
After walking around the mall for another thirty minutes, we head back. Justin stayed in a hotel while I went home.
All in all... It was a good day.
It was prom night, and I'm a nervous wreck. I had my gown and shoes and everything was in place. I was more nervous at seeing what Justin was going to wear.
"Jasmine... Justin's here." My mom says coming into my room.
"Okay. I'm coming out." I say checking myself in the mirror. My maroon colored dress went perfectly with my my accessories and shoes and I was so ready for tonight.
"Look at my baby." My mom says as I walk into the living room, seeing Justin standing by the door.
"Thanks mama." I say.
I look up at Justin to see him smiling wide.
"You look amazing." He says.
"Thank you... You look handsome yourself." I say admiring his all black suit.
"Why thank you darling." He says clearing his throat and fixing his tie.
Soon we were headed to the line up. Everybody was basically waiting on me to come so they could see if I really was coming with Justin.
My heart was beating so fast as we parked the limo Justin rented for the night. Justin got out first coming around to open the door for me. He reaches for my hand and I take it climbing out.
"Oh my god. She really came with him." I hear one of my classmates say.
"Holy Shit. It was her?" A guy says.
"Don't pay them no mind." Justin whispers in my ear. I nod as he squeezes my hand harder.
"Jasmine! You look amazing!" My friend Lisa says.
"Thank you." I say smiling. She looks and sees Justin standing there, and her mouth flies open.
"Hi. I'm Lisa. Jasmine's best friend." Lisa says shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you." Justin says politely.
After the line up, we headed to the prom. The ride was really quiet, but he held my hand the entire ride.
In that moment, I felt like Cinderella. And u had a feeling, tonight was going to be magical.
