"Love is an encounter",He said and his voice flowed across the room.

Every eye was now on him

He cleared his throat, " Fact for a fact that is what love today is, boy meets girl, the two talks and an hour later so called 'one-night-stand' happens. Alexander the Great did say. 'I came, I saw, I conquer'. Romeo saw Juliet for the first time, they both fell in love then on the last part of the story they both committed suicide. Paris and Helen had the briefest encounter later the Trojan War happened".

A couple of students nods understanding where the conversation is going

"Love is an encounter", he goes on. " Yes I agree. But it doesn’t mean that every encounter where so called 'attractions' are felt by the two individual means that its 'the love'. The problem is that; man in our society today rush things, they or rather we believe that our life is a telenovela. Out of the nowhere we encounter someone special; we feel a spark, that feeling of adrenaline rush. Later things like 'the moves' or ;the flirts' comes into light. But a month or so later the two of you starts to fight then split. Is that what really love is? A temporary onset of exploding emotions. I for one had a lot of experiences Wasn’t love supposed to be eternal, where even distance or time doesn’t matter. 'Love is an encounter' but the question is which one?" he lest the word on the air.

The entire classroom now belonged to him. On my right, I can see our professor on the completely taken by his pressence.

He smiles, knowing that evey eye in the room is a slave of his pressence. "Funny fact from our epic love was that it all started from crushes, but the thing is in my own understanding of things. Crushes always ends up by getting crashed. That’s how things happen, 'love at first sight' but a fact to be told Shakespeare did quoted that 'mans eyes were made to look and so we gaze and will not budge to only seek pleasure'. I saw her, I felt a "spark" but then was it really love? Or simply some effects due to the persons physical appearance. Love happens to everyone, but in a right time and place. Would we call it love when a stranger  asked you, your number ? Is it already love when someone posted an 'I love you' in you fb?"

His eyes swept the room and every student shrunk in theur seats. I know because I did the same. The way he spoke, the way he moves, evrything about him  was so unearthly.

Then his eyes landed on me.

'love', I mouthed to him.

He smiles back at me. "Yes, love"
