What would it be like to wake up in the middle of war seeing bombs being dropped, gun shots being heard, not knowing what to do? My name is John and well that's my kind of story. I woke up one day; it was very loud, very hard to see and very hard to breathe.
All i remember from the night before was going to sleep.
By that time all i could see was soldiers knelled down beside me and me being dragged to an army jeep. I felt a bad pain in my leg almost like i'd been shot. The only things i could hear were explosions and soldiers yelling.
"we need a medic! Help get John into the jeep."
And then it hit me; I could remember everything. How i got here, how i had to get out. When I woke up completely, they were trying to communicate by saying, "Sargent can you hear me?" I was barely able to talk but i got a couple of words out.
"help m...e."
Not long after we started to talk back and forth for a while. A couple of days after i healed enough to fight, i got back in the war and helped my team finish the war we started. It was probably one of the scariest days in my life and I'm still here to tell the story 20 years later.
To be continued...
