In the streets of London
I sit and observe the city
as I'm waiting for the bus
The sky is clear
the flowers are pretty

I took a closer look
At these two strangers
A man and a woman
The woman was alone crying
I thought she could be in danger

The man approaches her
Asking if she was alright
I wonder what she said
But I saw her mumbling
And all of the sudden the sky wasn't bright

The rain starts to drop little by little
From the sky to the ground
Neither of them had an umbrella
I saw how he took off the coat
he found in his bag

He took it and covered her head
She was flattered
You could tell she had a long day
He wanted to protect her from the rain

I saw her say thank you
And the man shook his head

They continued to talk
And I was just in awe
It's beautiful how God sends strangers
To your life
To make your day

The bus came
And I got on
And when I sat down
I saw them come in
He paid for her ride

They both sat next to me
I couldn't help but tell the man
How much of a gentleman he was
That he would make her day
I was a fan

The man goes
I've been in her shoes
And ever since
I refuse to see anyone in tears
I like to help others too
