It was nine forty seven at night. Jenna and Derek were jogging through the woods. Owls hooted and wolves started to howl. Derek was running out of breath and Jenna was way ahead of him. Her blonde ponytail swished from side to side and her running pace started to go faster. Derek tried his hardest to catch up with her until he gave up. He put his hand on his knees and closed his eyes and caught his breath again.
"J- Jenna!" He called.
No response. Only a wolf's cry.
Derek looked up and Jenna was out of sight. "Oh shit, oh shit, OH SHIT!"
Derek picked up his pace again and started running in the direction in where he saw Jenna run in last. Until he ended up on a small road he had never seen before. Derek hit his head with his hands trying to calm down. His breath was becoming heavier and his heartbeat wouldn't stop pumping so fast.
"JENNA!" He screamed.
He waited a long time for a response until he heard a growl coming from behind him. Derek squinted his eyes and balled his fists and slowly turned around to see a dead Jenna in a woman's arms.
"She's gone now." The woman echoed with a deep voice.
"Oh my god Jenna." Derek quietly whimpered.
The woman had vomit blonde hair with something disgusting covered over it and a white mask to cover her face. She was wearing a night dress covered in black ink. And she was clutching Jenna who's head was hanging from her neck, blood pouring out everywhere onto the road.
"She deserved to die. After what she did to my family!" She groaned. "Anyways. She was a worthless piece of-" and then she stopped.
"I'm not gonna kill you though little boy." She whispered as her neck cracked.
She walked towards Derek but he took a step back. She kept moving forward and he kept stumbling backwards. She then grabbed him by the shirt.
"I'm sure Jenna really loved you." She said as she grabbed him by the neck. "But she killed my daddy."
"What?" Derek whined.
The woman nodded her head and tightened her mask. She dropped Jenna onto the road and sliced open her body. Derek tried to hold back the tears. The woman then circled Derek and put her cold bloody hand into his. Derek's eyes widened in fear as the woman moved closer to his face.
"I'll let you go if you do me a little favor!" She giggled creepily.
"Anything if you'll let me go." Derek said bravely.
"Find me a girl, with a red pixie cut. She's white, she's seventeen and she goes to your school. Ask her out and find out what she did on November eleventh two thousand and fourteen. But don't make it sound to stupid."
And then she disappeared into the night.
Derek was frozen. He was too startled to move. I slowly looked down at Jenna's dead body and began to yell. He was crying and crying and calling for help. He placed his hand on her icy cold hands and whispered.
"Jens, I'm so sorry."
After a while he decided he needed to find help. He tip toed back into the forest leaving dead Jenna behind. He walked a little further in a direction and soon ended up near a river. He glared at his watch.
"Shit."
It was 10:18 and he was supposed to be at his grandma's memorial by ten. He was lost and he had nowhere to go. He yelled again with all his might hoping someone would hear him.
"DEREK!" He heard. "DEREK OVER HERE!!!"
Derek looked behind him and saw a faded light coming from a car. Derek ran in the direction of the lights but he fell and he hurt his knee.
"OW!" He screamed. "HELP!"
He began to feel dizzier and dizzier by the second until he saw three human figures running towards him. He tried to get up but his vision began to blur as more and more blood poured out his leg.
"Derek! Oh my god!" A girl said. "It's me Quinn! Can you hear me? Derek?"
I looked up at her, "Q-Q-Quinn?" I shivered and looked to her side. "Asher? Mi-i-ilo?"
"Yes. It's us." Milo panted. "C'mon, lets get you home."
The three picked Derek up and Derek put his arm around Quinn and Asher's shoulders. All of them were out of breath and Derek was about to pass out. As soon as they got to the car, Derek spotted Jenna's dead body on the side of the road.
"There!" He sulked. "Jenna's dead!"
Quinn screamed and Asher and Milo both gasped. Quinn ran up to Jenna and shook her. She was bawling her eyes out. Asher grabbed hold of Derek crying too.
"JENNA! SHIT OH SHIT!" She screamed.
Asher glanced at Derek, "who killed her?"
Derek was about to say but as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, he passed out. Asher and Milo gently shoved him in the backseats of the jeep and had to get Quinn to leave Jenna.
"SHE'S GONE!" Jenna shouted. "SHE'S GONE FOREVER!"
Milo held Quinn's hand and they walked to the car, Quinn crying even more. Quinn and Asher took the front and Milo sat in the back with Derek. Milo was doing his best to calmly wake Derek up and Asher was biting his lip trying his best to to cry. Quinn was staring out the window sobbing and sobbing. Jenna was her best and only girl friend and now she was gone. Milo was softly shaking Derek in the back. Until Quinn had enough of Milo. She opened up her water bottle and splashed cold water in Derek's face.
"Woah, woah, woah Quinn! Take it easy!" Asher whined.
"Quinn!?!?" Milo questioned annoyed.
"Sorry." She sniffed.
Derek slowly opened his eyes and got up. There was a big white plaster on his wound and a massive blood stain. Derek rested his back against the car door and looked up at Milo.
"Mi-ilo?" He managed to say.
"Yeah, it's me." He said relieved.
Derek wiped his tears away. "I know who killed Jenna."
Asher stopped the car and the three all looked at him. "It was a woman-"
"Wait!" Quinn shuddered, "I'm getting my drawing book, you describe it, I'll draw it."
Derek nodded. "A woman I think with blonde hair wearing a white mask that looked a bit like a human face. She had something like vomit on her head though. She was wearing a blue dressing gown with black ink all over it. Yeah that's all I can remember."
Quinn nodded tearfully and showed him the drawing she did. Derek thought it looked exactly like the woman who murdered Jenna.
"That's her." Derek whispered.
