Naruto's Older Sister

Chapter 2

After Minato heard that his wife was pregnant once again, he notified all the necessary people (the anbu's and midwives) and they all left for Kushina's birthing arrangements. While they were going Kushina reminded Minato that they were leaving Mito in her good friend Mikoto's care. He nodded and they took her to Mikoto's house then departed leaving her behind.

Time skip about 5 hours later...

Mikoto and Fugaku have left baby Sasuke and mito in Itachi's care Mito was slowly waking up in Itachi's bed with Nana in her arms. When she noticed her unfamiliar surroundings she called out for her mother and father but none of them came. Instead a boy no older than six or seven came with a baby in his arms. When she saw them she asked "who you?" Itachi smiled and said "my name is Itachi and this is Sasuke" he said referring to the baby in his arms. Mito smiled brightly and said "itachi!" After a few moments Mito tried to climb down the bed but fell on her bottom. Itachi shook his head and chuckled and Mito puffed out her cheeks when she realised that he was laughing at her. After he stopped laughing he asked "so what's your name?" Mito stopped puffing out her cheeks and said "Mito". Then Itachi said " Mito huh that's a pretty name" she nodded and said " mama, papa?" He frowned when she asked that because he knew she would be upset when she found they weren't here. He looked at her and said "I'm sorry Mito but they aren't here right now, but they'll be back very soon" Mito looked at him blankly for a few seconds before saying "OK" cheerfully then she asked "when be back?" And that question right there stumped him because he wasn't very sure when they'd be back but for her sake he said "soon" and she nodded her head. Then Itachi asked her "are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" She shook her head and said while rubbing her tummy "no... full" then he said "OK well come on let's go to the living room so we can play" when she heard play her whole face lit up and she held Nana in her arms and said "let's go!!!" He laughed and the three of them went into the living room.

Time skip- 1 hour later

After Itachi and Mito had played for a while she got hungry and he gave her something to eat. After she ate the full moon caught her attention and she said "Moon!"(mito was addicted to the full moon because of the 10 tailed wolf sealed inside of her and we all know Wolves like to howl at the moon she also had excellent hearing and a sense of smell sharper than the inuzuka clan's). He said yes and they went to the back yard and watched the full moon. Itachi sat on the veranda with sasuke in his arms while Mito stood a few feet away in the yard. After a few minutes passed Sasuke started to cry and Itachi felt something nasty in the air it was evil so he stood up and instructed Mito to sit and stay on the veranda while he got Sasuke's bottle. She nodded her head and he retreated into the house to get the bottle. While Mito was sitting there a masked man appeared right before her eyes and asked her "do you want to see your mother and father?" She nodded her head yes and he put his hand out for her to take and said in a very sincere voice "then take my hand come on they're waiting for you so is your little brother" that was all she needed to hear. She ran over to him and took his hand and he sucked them both in with his sharingan. The masked man transported them to another dimension and told her that she would have to wait here for a few minutes then he'd come back and take her to see her family. She nodded then she remembered Itachi and asked "itachi?" he shook his head and said"don't worry I'll tell him that you went to see your family so there's no need to worry" she smiled and then he asked her "may I please see Nana for a second". Mito looked at Nana then looked at him and hugged Nana close to her body and shook her head " no". then he said "please I only want to give her clothes so she doesn't get cold then I'll give her back". Mito looked unsure at first but then slowly handed her over and said " fine but want Nana back she pwesant from mama,papa ". He took Nana and took out some paper bombs and hesitantly wrapped it around the Teddy bear. When he was finished he gave it back to her and said "there", she thanked him and he ruffled her hair and said "I'll be right back stay here OK". She nodded her head and said "OK". He turned his back to her and started to teleport away but not before glancing back at her and mumbling an " I'm sorry mito " to her and then he was gone. Mito was left alone and she was starting to get bored so she played with Nana. After a few minutes the "clothes" that he placed on Nana activated and started to burn out. When mito saw this she look at it questioningly then suddenly she was being teleported away so she held Nana close to her and squeezed her eyes shut. Then she felt a hand being placed on her shoulder, she opened her eyes and saw that it was the masked man's hand. And he said " you successfully got your son back! But what about your precious daughter?" That's when mito heard a gasp, she looked forward and saw her father who was holding something in his arms and said "Papa!!" Happily. She tried to run towards him but the masked man kept a firm on her shoulder. She struggled against his grip to be released but he wouldn't budge no matter what she did but then he made the mistake of taking his eyes off of Minato. That was all the opening he needed, Minato flashed to mito and broke the man's hold on her and kicked him away. (I forgot to mention this earlier but Minato had secretly mark Nana when they gave her to mito) He crouched down to her height and asked her if she was OK? And she told him yes. When the masked man recovered he yelled "I think you might wanted to check your daughter's beloved toy". He did as was asked and saw that Nana was wrapped up in paper bombs that they were about to go off! He quickly took Nana out of her arms and tossed it away then teleported the three of them to his safehouse. When they were inside the safehouse mito had tears streaming down her face and she broke away from her father's grip. Then she asked " why?" Minato felt really guilty and hugged her and told her that he was sorry and that he only did it to protect her. She nodded her head and he wiped her tears away. Then he went towards the bed and placed Naruto down. After that he called mito to come to him, when she came he picked her up and showed her, her new baby brother. When she saw him she smiled and asked "Nato?" Minato smiled and said "yes" as she got her answer she started to push against her father making him know that she wanted to go down. He placed her down on the bed with Naruto and she crawled over to him and said " hi Nato my name mito and I youw beg sistew". When Naruto heard her he started to smiled and Mito giggled when she saw that he had no teeth what so ever. After watching this for a few seconds Minato got his daughters attention and told her that he was going to get your mom back. She nodded then he said "Mito I need you to do something for me" Mito titled her head and waited for her father to continue and he said. "While I'm gone I need you to protect and watch over Naruto for me OK?" Mito stared at her father for a few seconds then put on a look of determination and said "OK" Minato went to his daughter and patted her head and said "that's my girl" then he removed his hand and said "I'll be back with Mama soon so just sit tight ok" she nodded her head and in the blink of an eye he was gone. A few minutes later Minato reappeared with Kushina in his arms and when mito saw them she exclaimed happily and loudly "mama!". Kushina looked at her daughter and smiled weakly and said " hi baby" Mito saw how weak and tired her Mom looked and asked "mama??" She kept smiling and said "I'm OK sweetie" then Minato moved Kushina over to them and laid her down on the bed and then he said "just be with the kids". After that she told him about the masked man's plan to attack the village with the nine tailed fox. Minato nodded and put on his hokage's robe then looked at mito and said with a smile "watch over these two while I'm gone". Mito saluted him and nodded her head then he was gone. While they were waiting for Minato's return Kushina had pulled both Naruto and Mito close to her. She started speaking to them while crying and all mito did was listen. After a while Minato flashes In the room and quickly explains the situation to Kushina and flashes the four of them to the nine tailed fox. When they arrive mito and Naruto are place on the pedestal thing( sorry don't know how it's called, pic above and Mito was standing right beside naruto) and Kushina immediately restrains the fox with her adamantine sealing chains and creates a barrier to keep it from escaping while they decide what to do. After a while she volunteers to have the nine tails resealed inside of her so that it dies with her but Minato refuses her offer believing that the nine tails power would be needed in the future if and when the masked man strikes again. After some thinking he decides that he would make Naruto the new Jinchūriki's of the nine tailed fox. When he tells Kushina of his plan she disagreed and said "please minato, isn't it enough that we sealed the 10 tails inside our own daughter 1 year ago". She hardly made any friends even though you were her father" and then she exclaimed "I don't want him to bare such a heavy burden". Realising that the nine tails immense chakra is too much for an infant. He uses the dead demon consuming seal to cut it's chakra into half's of itself and seals it within himself causing the beast to shrink significantly while at the same time loosening the chains. When the nine tails realises their intentions he attempts to kill Naruto with his claw. When Minato and Kushina saw this they threw their bodies in the way to stop the attack but then they noticed that they weren't slowing down fast enough and that their children would be killed. Mito looked on in fear at the incoming attack that has impaled both of their parents. Then she glanced at her brother beside her and remembered what her father asked her to do earlier.

Flash back "While I'm gone I need you to protect and watch over Naruto for me OK?" Mito stared at her father for a few seconds then put on a look of determination and said "OK " End of flash back.

Mito quickly threw herself over her little brother and yelled out "NOOOOO!!!" When Minato and Kushina saw this they screamed out for their daughter but then something they would never have expected happened. A second after she threw herself over him. Chakra chains shot out of her body and formed a small barrier around naruto and deflected the nine tails attack. A second before that happened Kushina and minato immediately jumped in front of mito because the chain barrier was only protecting naruto while she stood out side with her arms wide open so the nine tails would not harm naruto. Then his shock slowly turned into a smile as he thought 'that's my girl'. After a few seconds mito felt a drop of blood falling on her head and looked up . Minato told Kushina then summoned Gerotora and gave him the keys to the seals he was about to place on Naruto and sent him away to Jiraiya. While at the same time Kushina had managed to get mito to take her barrier down and was telling them both about how much they loved them and was giving them advice for the future. When she was done she was crying and apologized to Minato for using up all their time however he just smiled and said it's ok and that he agreed with everything she said. He watched as Mito cried because she knew that her parents weren't going to be around anymore. Minato tried to calm her down but he only half accomplished his task, she was still crying. Then he told her "we love you very much sweetie but mommy and daddy have to go now" mito shook her head and said "no pwease mama, papa don't weave me!!!" In a voice that sounded exactly like her nose was clogged up. When they heard that Kushina broke down, full blown sobbing and Minato shed a tear too because it pained his heart seeing his daughter like this then he said "I'm sorry sweetie but we can't" then she said "no!papa!" His heart was breaking but he still said "be sure to look after yourself and Naruto, be a good big sister and we both love you very much baby girl bye" and with that Minato commenced with sealing the nine tails within Naruto and also weaving both his and Kushina's remaining chakra into naruto and mito's seals. All while mito cried out for them. When the sealing process was complete and the nine tails was gone, Minato's soul was consumed by the shinigami from his jutsu and he died. Kushina on the other hand was still barely alive with her remaining strength she retracted her barrier allowing the bystanders on the other side to enter. The third Hokage Hiruzen rushed towards them and picked up a crying baby boy and Mito. He then makes his way over to Kushina with the children and she says to him"his name is Naruto, please look after and protect our children for us" shortly after speaking those words she passes away unwillingly orphaning her children and Hiruzen agrees to full fill her final request. A second later the 10 tails in mito ran a muck but the 3rd hokage managed to stop it with a paper that says 'suppress' that he put on mito's forehead that drew out all the tailed beast chakra after the chakra was out mito fainted and he hair turned lighter and was now a light shade of pink. Hiruzen called out for one of his men to summon Kakashi Hatake "Naruto and Mito must never find out that there sister and brother that will only cause more pain for then if one of them dies".

~time skip to when kakashi arrived~

Kakashi was young but very responsible and experienced. Hiruzen told Kakashi to take over as the new guardian for Mito Kakashi agreed and went with a man to get Mito's stuff. While Kakashi was gathering mito's stuff he saw a picture of Minato and Kushina with Mito. He picked it up and stared at it for a second then he placed it with the rest of Mito's stuff. when Kakashi had came back home from the funeral he went back to his house and greeted Mito and said in a soft but enthusiastic voice "hi my name is Kakashi I will act as your guardian from now on".
