Lost

          All I've ever wanted was a perfect life. A happy home. Family. Friends. But life doesn't always go as planned. My name is Bella Smith. I was born and raised in New York City. Ever since I was born ,my life has just been a hurricane.

          When I was only three months old when my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer... and she was given one month to live. A week after her diagnosis, she passed away. At the time I had no idea what was happening. I have always wondered why. Why would they take away my mother? They ripped away the person who loved me the most. People say "Everything happens for a reason." But please explain to me why the universe would leave an infant and her father all alone in the world.

            When I was ten, my father took himself and I to live in Melbourne, Australia. I was fine with leaving New York, in fact I was overjoyed. I mean its not like I had any friends or family anyway. The year I moved my father took me to a music store. I spotted a beautiful acoustic guitar. I ran over to grab it, but when I put my hand on it a girl grabbed it as well. She had long orange curls that went down to about her shoulder.

              "Its okay. You keep it, you probably need it more than me." she said with a gentile grin. Nobody has ever been that nice to me. For God sake my own father called me a burden just that morning. Victoria has been my best friend ever since.

               Life still isn't simple. Now I'm seventeen and I've been home schooled all my life. Since I've finished high school (perks of being home schooled) I'm just lost in this world. Lost with my only friend, the crappy apartment my dad pays for me, no job and basically no family. But now I'm on a journey to find myself and my place in the world. But boy, when I'm long gone, I'm gonna make sure I'm remembered.
