Chapter 1

Seth's Point Of View

"Nikki, please wake up." I said. "You can't do this to me."

Nikki inhaled and exhaled without moving any other part of her body.

"Seth she can't hear you." Macy managed to say.

"I know." I replied, tried to act strong for my sake. "What are we going to do in the meantime? We can't just stay here all day."

"I don't know what's going to happen to Nikki if we're gone." Emma shivered. "What if they move her without us noticing? Or what if she dies in her sleep?"

"Emma! This is no time to think bad thoughts!" Ashley practically shouted.

"We were all thinking it." Emma mumbles.

"What was that, young lady?" Ashley shouted this time.

"Nothing."

"Guys, stop fighting." Tessa told us. "This isn't obviously going to help Nikki."

"What are we going to do to help Nikki? There are no cures for amnesia. It just takes time till some memories come back. What if she never gets her memories back?" Macy asked.

"Lets not all start thinking about the horrible things that could happen. Think of the positive." I said.

"I'm really sorry, Seth, I can't think strait with all the things that has happened to everyone." Macy stated.

"I think we should all just go out and do something to distract us." I tried to cheer everyone up.

"Mkay, like what?" Emma asked.

"We should roller skate!" Ashley squeaked. "I've never been to one."

"What do you think, Tessa, you've been quiet this whole time?" I asked.

"Sure, sounds fun." Tessa tried to smile.

We all walked out and I pulled Tessa aside.

"What?" Tessa growled at me.

"At least sound excited."

"I am excited."

"Tessa we have all had a hard time loosing Nikki."

"Who said she was dead?" Tessa shoved me away from her.

"Ugh, teenage girls." I grit my teeth.

"Hey wait up." I called to the group.

I jogged up to catch up with them. Well, thanks for waiting! All of the mermaids went into the car, leaving Tessa waiting for me. Before I could get in the car Tessa turned around and flashed a huge puddle in my face.

"Don't ever say I'm not excited for roller skating." Tessa smiled. "Oh and you can ride in a cab, bye."

Tessa, Emma, and Macy laughed while they shut the door to the car. I have a feeling Tessa and I aren't going to get along that easy.

"What am I going to do?" I said out loud.

"You should know most females are rude because they don't want you to find out that they like you." Someone said.

"Who said that?" I declared.

"Me."

"Um, can you give me a name?" I looked around.

"My name is Percy Jackson, but you can call me Percy."

"Aren't you in all those books?" I asked.

"Yeah, I guess you can say that."

"So you actually did all those heroic things?"

"Yeah, but I did more than just save the world."

"Can you tell me?"

"I'm sorry but I'm on the run."

"I see." I started. "What are you running from?"

"That is what I can't tell you."

"Catch you later then, Percy."

"Very funny."

"What it was a joke."

"I'm not a fish, Seth."

"Wait, how did you know my name?"

"I've been told to watch you."

"Why?" I asked shocked.

"I have to go, before they come."

At that moment Percy was gone. Why follow me? I'm just a wizard. I hailed a cab and drove off to the roller rink.

"Stop here!" I yelled, as I saw Percy running alongside the cab. I opened the door to the cab and let Percy in. "What are you doing here?"

"You can't go alone, ever."

"You can't tell me what to do."

"You don't belong here."

"Of course I don't! I'm a wizard!"

"If you are ever in trouble contact me."

"With what?"

"Yell my name by the shore."

"Goodbye." I said.
