I don't trust her. I don't trust Ji Su. She may be happy and bubbly on the outside, but who knows what goes on the inside of her head. She may be just acting nice to gain our trust; then, after she has, she'll kill us. I still believe she's exactly like the others. The blood-thirsty vampires who would do anything just to satisfy their hunger. I'm only putting on this cheery facade for Jungkook. So he can be happy. So MY kookie can be happy. I won't let anyone hurt him. So you better watch out. Kim Ji Su.

"Taehyung?" someone asked, snapping their fingers in front of me as if I was zoned out from their ongoing conversation.

"Yeah?" I innocently replied; forcefully smiling.

"What you thinking about?" Jungkook laughed, punching my shoulder playfully.

"Oh!" I chuckled, "Nothing much. Just how today is peaceful and nice," I said, putting my arm around Jungkook and pulling him closer. I need to get Ji Su away from Jungkook.. but only after she finds the others for us. I have to be patient.

"It is nice, isn't it?" whispered Ji Su, who was sitting in the opposite booth.

"Should we go?" I asked, standing abruptly from my seat and dusting off my clothes. They looked at me confusedly.

"Why are you in such a hurry Tae?" Jungkook looked at me.

"Cause I want to find Hoseok-hyung as soon as possible.." Because I want to get this over with and leave..

"Taehyung's right," Ji Su agreed, "We should get to Busan before night falls."

Jungkook nodded sadly and stood up as well. I'm sorry Kookie.. I'm doing this for you..

Eventually, we all huddled up back into the caravan and waved goodbye to the new friends we had just made. Jungkook had volunteered to be the driver since he said that he was the only one who hadn't driven yet so it was fair. I swear, sometimes that boy was too nice for his own good. The worst part was.. that I was stuck in the back.. along with.. her. It seems she had noticed the tension that floated in the air as she twirled the ends of her hair for no apparent reason and she couldn't seem to sit still either, changing position every two seconds. Her nervousness was starting to get on my nerves. I curled my fists behind my back and attempted to say it in the nicest way possible, "Ji Su-ah.. can you please stop shuffling in your seat? It's making me nervous.." I awkwardly let out, though inside I was bursting with anger.

Her eyes widened a fraction as if she didn't realise what I was doing. She nodded shyly before sitting on the bed with her hands resting on her lap.

I sighed in relief and uncurled my fists from behind. I slumped back on my chair and I slowly dozed off to sleep.

"Taehyungie," whispered someone, "Tae tae," the same voice repeated.

I groaned as I blinked multiple times in an attempt to wash the sleep away from my droopy eyelids.

"What time is it..?" I mumbled, wiping my tired eyes.

"Um.. I have no idea," Jungkook hesitantly laughed, "but Ji Su said that there's only half an hour left before we reach Busan," he clapped excitedly.

He's always so cute..

"Jungkook." I said seriously.

"Yeah?" He replied, furrowing his eyebrows at my tone.

"What do you think of Ji Su?" I whispered, making sure that she couldn't hear us.

"Why.. would you ask me that?" He trailed off skeptically.

I shrugged nonchalantly, "Just curious."

"Well.." he sat down in the chair opposite me, "I think she's a nice girl. She's always kind to everyone, she cracks jokes all the time, she's really outgoing and cheerful.. she takes good care of us and she's helping us find the rest of our hyungs.. So I guess I'm really grateful to her," he mused thoughtfully.

"Jungkook..." I sighed.

"Yeah?" He chirped happily.

"Are you in love with her?"

At my question, he turned tomato-red and shook his head vigorously, "Of course I'm not," he scoffed.

"Are you sure?"

He melted down his seat and held his head with the palms of his hand. He gripped his hair frustratedly and breathed heavily, "The truth is.. that.. that--"

"We're here!" Ji Su announced loudly; interrupting Jungkook much to my dismay. Jungkook's face lightened up in relief and he ran out of the caravan, dodging my question successfully.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Why do you have to make this so hard for me, my Jungkookie...?

a/n: hey! I'm back! After like a week and a bit lol. This chapter was a bit short because it was more like a filler chapter to build Taehyung's sort of backstory/personality. Next chapter will be longer and will be out soon! (Hopefully) Please vote or comment if you liked this chapter!! >_< Bye my lovelies ❤️
