(skye's pov)

"what the hell?!" oliver screamed at oakley after she bombarded me, knocking the textbooks out of my grasp and the glasses off of my face. i shook it off, and wiped the dirt off of my white ripped jeans.

"are you alright, skye?" oliver asked, concerned.

"yeah, don't worry. i'm fine," i said back.

i glared at oakley as her jet black eyes met mine. she definitely did hate me.

we continued down the hall, making our way to english and hoping to see miles at school today. we entered, sat down in our assigned seating, and started class. we were writing an argumentative essay outline, and as i was choosing my topic, miles slowly strode through the doorway. i gasped, and jumped out of my seat to hug him.

"oh my gosh! miles! how was los angeles?" i asked, my veins pulsing with adrenaline.

he smiled down at me and took me in his embrace. we pulled away as he said,

"it was super fun there. we ate at the grove and stayed in a beach house. we went surfing and snorkeling, plus i made two new friends throughout it. but i would've had more fun if you were there with me," he spoke with a frown.

"yeah i-,"

"miles!!!" oliver came running and screaming, hugging miles tightly.

"i've missed you, buddy," oliver said with his quirky smile. i chuckled at the sight.

oliver had always been a good friend, especially to discuss school topics over. his bright green eyes would shine every time i mentioned a good book or a scientific discovery. miles on the other hand, was the 'hottest and most popular' guy in the school. he had shining blue eyes and a perfect white smile; every girl adored him. i just liked to call him my best friend.

i woke up to banging on my front door. my mom yelled for me to get out of bed and to the door. i quickly ran down the stairs, and twisted the bolt only to reveal somebody i'd never want to see any day.

i sat back into my right hip, folded my arms, and looked down.

"what are you doing here, zander?" i asked him coldly.

"hey, um.. i wanted to talk to you," he pleaded.

i stood there, deep in thought. i was confused and worried, wondering what he wanted from me or was planning on doing to me.

"zander, i really think that-"

"hi sweetie!" my mom came running down the stairs and pulled zander into a hug. she has loved zander ever since we got together.

zander peered over my mom, staring down at me. i just rolled my eyes.

"please, stay for breakfast!" my mom insisted.

"i would love to," he said looking over at me with a sly smirk emerging from his lips.

my mom closed the front door, and headed to the kitchen to start making breakfast for us. i immediately grabbed zander's hand after my mom was out of sight. i pulled him clear up the stairs and into my bedroom.

"zander, what do you want?"

"i wanted to say i'm sorry for what i did," he said slowly and thoughtfully.

"i don't want you anymore zander. can't you tell i'm not happy with you?" i say sternly, getting angry.

"just hear me out," he said, inching closer to me.

i started backing up, and my backside touched the wall. he reached me and put his hands on my waist, making me shiver.

"c'mon, baby. let me show you that i still love you," he said sliding his hand into my pants. i quickly shove him off, extremely angered.

"stop! get off of me, asshole!" i screamed down at him. he backed away, obviously scared.

"woah skye, calm your tits," he said sarcastically. it pissed me off even more.

"get out of my house!" i shrieked, while opening the door and pointing down the stairs.

he got up and walked out of the door, muttering "bitch" under his breath.

my mom soon ran into my room, only to find me crying on the edge of my bed.

"what happened?"

"nothing mom," i say sniffling.

she just sat next to me stroking my back, trying to comfort me. i eventually fell back into a deep slumber, hoping to sleep my problems away.
