"Good morning!"
I groaned and pulled the blanket over my head, shimmying my way further down into the bed.
I don't want to wake up yet!
A familiar laugh that made my heart beat happily reached my ear's.
"C'mon Beautiful."
I grinned in reply and wrapped the blue and green blanket, that by now smelt like a mixture of Zander and I, more tightly around my body.
If I open my eyes, I'll ruin the spell of sleep time.
Under the cover of darkness, wrapped up in Zander's arms and hearing his heart beat so close to mine, it was easy to forget the real hassles of life.
Something soft and wet landed gently on my cheek and stayed for a few seconds.
I couldn't help but smile to myself.
Zander's kisses...
I honestly didn't think there was anything more perfect in this world.
Or the next...
Another warm, slightly wet kiss landed on my face, but this time at my jaw.
"Wakes wakey."
Zander whispered.
I sighed heavily.
Guess it is time to face the day.
We'd been back to school for a week and one day.
Today marked a week and two days.
And...
I slowly opened my eyes to find the familiar sights of Zander's bedroom greeting Me.
It still wasn't the bedroom we both preferred, because Jade was only renting the place, but at least by now his surf boards were propped up against the back wall near the window and his posters and picture frames were once again decorating the walls.
What I found sweetest of all, was that he actually had one of our photos in a frame, hung up on the wall.
I turned around to cuddle into the boy in question, craving some closeness with him, plus the natural warmth his body provided, before the real world caught up on us.
I opened my mouth to greet him Good Morning, but he leaned in and captured my lips in a kiss that set my heart into a sprint.
I struggled a little to get my hands up, to slide my fingers into his dark, disbelieved hair.
Well before I wanted him to, he broke the kiss off, smiling at me in a way that had my heart swelling.
"Happy Birthday."
He wished me, his dark blue eyes dancing merrily.
My heart beat quickly.
Happy Birthday.
Yes, today was the 9th of August, which meant it was indeed my Birthday.
My seventeenth Birthday.
"Thank you."
I whispered.
It was my first time to wake up with the Boy I love on my Birthday.
Already my Day seemed extra special.
"You ready to get up now?"
Zander asked, clearly excited.
It was rather adorable how he was so excited on My Birthday.
I pouted and rested my head back onto the fluffy pillow.
"Can't we just stay here all day?"
His blue eyes danced as he grinned at Me.
"Well, as much as I'd love to do that, I've actually got other things planned for us."
He informed Me.
Other things-?
I frowned.
"Things like what?"
He dropped a kiss on the tip of my nose, then shifted back and turned around to roll out of the bed.
"C'mon!"
He urged.
"Things like what Zander?"
I asked, pushing myself up onto my elbows.
"You'll find out soon enough!"
He declared, pulling a bright green t-shirt over his head.
It didn't skip my notice that it wasn't our school top.
"You're planning on getting dressed twice?"
I asked, pushing myself up into a sitting position.
"We're not going to School today."
He told me, pulling a pair of board shorts on over his boxer briefs that he'd worn to bed.
That reminded me of the fact that I was currently in just my underwear and one of his t-shirts.
Hold on-!
"We're not?"
I asked, shocked.
Was he planning on us wagging?
I was fairly positive that wouldn't go down too well...
"Relax would ya?"
He rolled his eyes and walked forward to offer me his hand.
Curious, I slipped my hands into his and he helped me climb out of the bed, seemingly rather effortlessly.
The last couple of weeks and his movements now reminded me that he was basically fully healed from the Shark Attack.
His re-developed muscles flexing practically had my ovaries clenching.
He is one finnnnnne boy.
"We have permission."
He told me, placing a hand on my waist to help steady me once my feet found the carpet covered floor.
Permission to skip School?
"How the hell did you manage that?!"
I questioned, feeling my eyes widen.
He shrugged.
"As soon as I let Mum know it's your Birthday she didn't care I wanted to skip school. I told your Mum a few of My plans and she was agreeable."
He-?
I felt my jaw drop.
"You spoke to My Mum?"
He nodded and stepped in to place a sweet kiss on the top of my head.
My skin seemed to tingle.
"I figured it's worth a shot at showing her that I love you and my intentions are good."
Although his words were perfectly sweet and melted my heart, I couldn't help but frown as I linked my hands with his.
"Zander you don't have to prove anything to anyone. Especially not when it comes to Me!"
How didn't he understand that yet?
"But I do."
He insisted.
"To Myself and to You. And even your Mum, because the bottom line is she's your Mum."
I linked my arms around his shoulders and pushed up onto my tippy toes to grab a kiss from his delectable lips.
"I love you."
I informed him.
He kissed me back, giving my waist a squeeze.
"I love you too."
I couldn't help but grin.
"Now c'mon let's go!"
He insisted, stepping back.
I felt my eyes widen.
"I might have to find some extra clothes first!"
I gestured pointedly to my bare legs.
He grinned!
"Righto! Get dressed and come downstairs."
"Okay."
I nodded.
He slipped out of the room and closed the door behind his back.
Releasing a breath, I turned around to find some of my own clothes.
