chapter 5

i run into the hospital and see my mom and nash crying in the waiting room.

"nash... mom...? what happened." i say holding back the tears i feel could come at any moment.

nash looks up and grabs my hand.

"im so sorry.. i didnt mean to." he said pulling me into a hug.

"didnt mean to what?" i reply.

"we where on our way to the beach.. and i wasnt paying attention.. i ran a stop sign.. and a car hit us. hit the passenger side.. and now shes in a coma. and they dont know when she will wake up." he said crying harder.

i began to cry as well.

"can i see her?" i whisper to him.

"yeah.. lets go..." he replys grabbing my hand.

we walk to the room where my sister is. i open the door and see her lifeless body with cuts and bruises all over.

"hailey... i love you. please wake up. i cant lose you. you mean everything to me. i.. i need you. mom needs you. nash needs you. we all need y..y..ou." i finish and tears began to spill down my cheeks faster.

nash comes by my side and grabs haileys hand.

"babe... please just wake up.. i love you. we are supposed to get married. i love you. please dont leave me." he began to cry even more. "please. please. please." he cried.

i couldnt stand to see nash like that. i gave him and my sister a quick hug then walked out.

i walked out and saw hayes siting in the waiting room. he saw me then ran up to me engulfing me in a hug.

"take me back to the condo." i say walking towards the door.

"your mom is staying here with nash." he says.

"okay. thats fine." i reply hopping in the passenger seat.

the car ride back to the condo was silent. i dont understand why this happened to hailey. she was nothing but nice. her and nash have been together for 6 years. she cant be taken away. they have been dreaming of their wedding for the whole time they have been dating.

we arrived at the condo and i lazily got out of the car. hayes grabbed my hand and whispered that everything will be alright.

i dont know. this time.. will everything be alright?

hayes and i layed down in his room and watched mean girls. my all time favorite movie.

"4 for you glen coco. you go glen coco." the movie spoke.

that couldnt even make me laugh. tears started spilling down my cheek.

"no no no. shh, baby dont cry." hayes whispers.

"how can i not cry!? my fucking sister is in the fucking hospital in a coma. what if she doesnt wake up!?" i scream.

i cry into hayes chest. for the rest of the night, all we do is spend time enjoying eachothers company.

the last thing i remember is laying in hayes arms, then sleep took over me.
