„ So, where we going?", I asked as we were driving through the city while looking out the window watching the old and new buldings pass by turning into just a huge blur with music silently playing in the background.
„You'll see..", Ella said with a devilish smile on her face while keeping her eyes on the road.
Amber and Rose just giggled and looked at each other. I sighed and just gave up knowing how good they can be at keeping a secret. The next song that came on the radio sounded so familiar, but I couldn't remember where I've heard it before. But one part of the song stood out to me Home, a place where I can go to take this off my shoulders, someone take me home. Right now I would love to be litteraly anywhere else except home. I've been living there all my life. I would just want for one thing in my life to change. Just something to be different. Something exciting, an adventure. Litteraly anything. I mean don't get me wrong, I love my family and my friends. I will love them and care about them till the day I die. But I would just want one of those crazy life experiences that people always talk about. They always say you only live once, live your life to the fullest or else you'll ask yourself where your youth went. Well how am I suppose to do that when I'm constantly stuck in the same place.
„We're here!", Ella said bringing me back from my thoughts.
We got out of the car and I saw that we were in front of this new club that opened about a month ago. It's called „Epiphany".
„Out of all the clubs in the city, why this one?", I asked my friends because the club didn't look like much from the outside. It didn't look anything like a club at all. From the outside it looked just like a regular building with the word Epiphany graffitied on the wall. There were two men standing at the entrance, I guess they're the security.
„Well it had good reviews.. I guess it's all about the inside and not the outside, and the expirience...", Amber said sounding like she tried to convince more herself instead of us.
„Look, if you don't like it we can just go to another one, it's your birthday so you decide.", said Ella.
„Yeah, she's right.", Rose said while Amber just kept staring at the club like it was doomed or something.
„You know what? Since we're here already let's just go inside and see how it is. If we don't like it then we leave. Deal?", I asked and they all nodded in agreement.
We walked to the security standing next to the entrance and they stamped our wrists with what I'm guessing is the clubs symbol. It was a sircle and in the middle of it was a five pointed star. They let us through and we started walking down glass stairs which were colored in black. That certainly looks much more fancy than the outside of the club. When we got down the stairs there was a hallway that wasn't much long. At the end of it was a black door and something that looked like some sort of a scanner next to it.
„Okay, maybe this is our clue that this club sucks and we should leave.", Amber said sounding a bit anxious.
„Ohh, don't worry about it, it's gonna be fine. Besides, what's the worst thing that could happen?", Ella said.
„Well, I don't know. They could drug us, kidnap us, sell us to some rich old kreepy dudes and we can kiss goodbye our all so good glorious lives.", Amber said back to Ella.
Rose also joined into the little argument while I was just standing there staring at those doors. Maybe this is my chance to make something different and maybe a bit more interesting.
„...isn't that right Emily?", Ella said pulling me out of my thoughts again.
„Huh? Yeah, right...", I haven't had the slightest clue what they were talking about.
