Before the orphanage

Rosie's pov-
My life was perfect. I had a loving mom even though my dad wasn't there. You see, he had died along time ago, right before I was born.
My mom told me everything about him. That's until that day came.
I was just 10 years old when that horrible thing happened.
The day that broke me.
It was just like any other day.
-Flash back-
"Bye mom I'm going to school!"
"Okay sweet heart, have a nice day."
Those where the last things I heard from her.
I climb on the bus and take my seat next to my bestie Elise.
"Hey Elise!"
"Hey the Rose Meister!"
I giggle and playfully push her.
Today's going to be a good day, I thought to myself.
(Skip to in school)
I was in my normal seat, sitting next to Elise. We were in class doing my math assignment. I had almost everything answered when I heard the door open.The principal came into the class. He barely comes in our class so we all just stare at him.

This must be important.

"Hello Mr. Gomez, sorry to disturb your class," he says with a sort of worry in his voice. "But Rosie please come with me." His face has a look of empathy and pity.
I sit, shocked with my mouth a little open.
Elise nudges my side and I come back to reality shaking my head. I quickly grab my belongings and walk to him in the front of the class. I follow him to his office.

Did I do anything wrong!?
Oh my gosh!
He must've found out I let Elise copy my work!!

Many thoughts were going through my mind.

When we get inside he gestured me to sit as he also takes a seat.
He takes a deep breath and folds his hand over the desk in front of him.
"Now look Rosie, the following words that I'm about to say will hurt you, but I want you to stay strong." He states softly.
I nod my head, slightly worried. But not expecting what was said next.
"Your mother has died in an accident." He breathes out. "What? Your lying!..No!" I scream in disbelief. "She can't be dead,...she's the only person I have." I cry hard into my hands. Snot running down from my nose and my eyes were red.
"I understand that your distraught, but I have another thing to tell you."
" what c-could you pos-possibly have t-to tell me?" I hiccup.
He sighs.
"Your being put in an orphanage..."

I bet your wondering why I didn't get sent with a family member.
Well my mom and dad just so happened to be only child's, just my luck and my grandparents were all in old people homes.

I let out a large breathe, I can feel my heart breaking. Almost beating out of my chest. My hands start shaking, and I start hyperventilating. I can't breathe.
Then I start seeing darkness.
Everything goes black.
