Third person pov
Uchiha have always been known to love obsessively, and Sasuke doesn't claim to be an exception of this. When an Uchiha loves, his mother had told him once, they do so with every part of themselves. It's insatiable-- unstoppable by all means, like a train tearing down the tracks. Sasuke is in locomotive bliss if that's the case. He's barreling forward full steam ahead and has no intentions of stopping. What's he have to lose? Not his reputation, that's for sure. What's gonna happen? His family disowns him? The Uchiha name loses honor?
Sasuke tries to stay calm. And he succeeds. Definitely does that, for sure is not absolutely, completely losing his goddamn mind. There is no internal freak out happening here! He keeps his head on straight (gay?) and troops forward. No uh... no disruptions... here... Alright, fine. Fine, fine, fine. Denial isn't a good look for him. He'll be upfront, since his family is dead and like, that's his only running personality trait that can justify his unhealthily obsessive personality right now.
So he is in somewhat of a haze for the rest of the day, but can you really blame the guy when you get down to it? He did hide his giddiness about the whole situation pretty well if you ask him, somehow managing to keep his cheeks from overheating anytime his brain happened to bounce back to the lovely ginger haired gardener who'd stolen his heart. Which was like, every two seconds, but menial details like that don't matter in the long run. Sasuke's in the deep end now, boys. A soldier marching off the war, ready to brave the trenches. Salute and pay respects. He's not coming back from this one alive.
Resisting the urge to break out into a blissful, excited, overjoyed, flustered, exuberant, smile is no easy task, but Sasuke does it and he does it well. First, because Lennox is the only one he has any intention of smiling at, because he's supposed to be depressed and a bad boy outside of that. Second, because his fangirls would pounce like feral wolves and ruin in entire week with their annoyingly annoying annoyances. They might get more stalkerish and in turn ruin his peaceful morning encounters with Lennox, and Sasuke is not above following in his brother's footsteps and committing mass genocide if that's what he needs to do.
The only real thing of note is that he did, in fact, dump his lunchbox out on the way to school. Listen... Listen, hear him out first. Those tomatoes and that rice were looking a little dry anyway, and Sasuke would lose every small ounce of his will to live if he dared lose or damage the flower Lennox gave him. So as soon as he's out of sight of the ginger, that goddamn box was coming out of his bag and his meal was getting abandoned. He also used his entire water bottle to rinse it and did dry it with his shirt, but flowers are delicate! How else was he supposed to preserve it?
"Sasuke-kun, do you want to hang out with me later?" Sakura cooed, propping her head up on her hands and cupping her cheeks. Sasuke turned away just briefly to gag and made awkward eye-contact with Shikamaru, who was surprisingly not asleep for once. The Nara just pressed his lips together in an unimpressed way. "M...Maybe we could go somewhere. L-Like... a date-"
"No way!" Ino crowed angrily, leaping to her feet. Iruka looked supremely irritated, and Sasuke could definitely relate to that. Same boat. Could they not see he was busy daydreaming about Lennox right now? Well... yeah, not that that was any of their business. Either way, it was super obvious that he was like, not mentally here at all. Not even a little bit. He was still very much reveling in the fact that he'd gotten to talk to the absolute love of his life. Who'd given him a flower. A. Flower. There was no protocol in the world that would tell him how to deal with this.
"Be quiet, you two. Sasuke is trying to focus on the lesson." Iruka said in a very sure tone that almost sent Sasuke spiraling into maniacal, slightly demented laughter. Trying to focus yes, but not on kunai trajectory or whatever was on the chalkboard. He wasn't about to correct the guy. He didn't want anyone to know about Lennox just yet. Someone could swoop in and steal him away if he did, even if it was unlikely since Sasuke was bringing his A-game and had years of mutual waving experience with the boy behind him. However, he was not here to take risks in any capacity. Not happening.
