*your point of view*
I turned off my car and stared at the wheel. I was anxious and nervous. Moving to a new house in the middle of the school year was hard enough, but being late? I woke up late because I didn't set my alarm like a dumbass. I took a deep breath and took my keys and threw them in my backpack. I swung it over my shoulder and got out of the car.
I start walking up to the school, still tired from my morning, and already sick of being near the school. I hesitate as I push the doors open and head to the front office. They handed me my schedule and a map to the school and sent me on my way. They wished me a "great year" and a "good day" knowing damn right I didn't want to be there.

I managed to find my first class with ease. You would think because of the map, but no, I'm terrible at maps. Even the simplest map, like this one, is annoying for me to understand. I peek into the window next to the door of the room. Everyone's faces were berried in their textbooks. My first block was Science. I hated science with a passion. I felt like if I wanted to be a scientist then I would take science, but I don't want to be a scientist, astronomer, or whatever else there is. What was the point in taking the course then? Oh that's right, college credit.
I found the school system to be a stupid thing. Some of the things were unnecessary, as for other things, they were alright.
I knock on the door before opening it just to warn everyone in there that I was walking in. Immediately everyone looks up and stares at me. I made awkward eye contact with a couple classmates. I felt my face start to turn red and I thought my head was going to burst.
"Ah! You must be..Alyssa? Alyssa Clark?" I nod my head in agreement as I walk over to the teachers desk. She hands me a worksheet and a textbook and she stands up. She turns me towards everyone and welcomes me.
"Everyone, this is our new classmate Alyssa! Be kind and respectful. At the end of class I will pick one of you to be her guide until she settles into the school." I trembled at the thought of having to communicate with another person. The lady in the office told the teacher, Mrs. Jones, to assign me a guide for the next couple weeks while I get used to the school and how it works. She said it's a student who has the most classes with me so it will be easier to find my classes.
"Take a seat anywhere." She sat back down as I walked to the corner of the room. Everyone watched as I sat down and got myself situated. I opened up my textbook and started doing my work. I still felt like someone was looking at me. So every now and then I'd look around to catch anyone staring.
I didn't know what they were staring at. I was an ordinary girl. I dressed like any other girl in the room. The only thing making me different from them is my sense of mind. I'm emotional and antisocial. I do dress like a "popular girl" but that doesn't mean I am one. I just try to camouflage myself and hope no one notices me.
I still felt like I was being looked at. Finally when I look up, someone on the other side of the room is looking at me. As soon as I catch their eye, they whip themselves around and pretend they weren't looking at me. I thought it was funny so I smiled a little. This kid looked nerdy but normal. He looked like a trouble maker but he also knew when enough was enough.
"Alright class, time to put your books up and go ahead and take a breather. Don't forget next class you have a test on chapter 25 in your textbook. Alyssa, you don't have to take it unless you want to. And you're guide will Be.." she paused and looked at a sheet on her desk. Everyone stared and waited for a response. I could tell none of them wanted to babysit me for 2 weeks.
"Colby Brock." She sat back down at her desk and motioned for him to go over. I waited to see who I was dealing with. He walked over to the side of her desk as she talked to him. I realized it was the same guy who was staring at me.
"This is gonna be fun." I whispered to myself and I gathered my things to walk out the door. The bell rang and everyone rushed out of the room. I sped walked to hopefully not have to make any social interaction with this kid. But sure enough, he had fast feet.

"hey I'm Colby." He had a deeper voice than I thought. He was trying to keep up with my pace but he had a hard time.
"You don't actually have to walk with me. I know you don't want to, so don't waste your time." I kept walking.
"No but I want to. I like making new friends." I could tell he was nervous. He scratched the back of his head.
