I WILL BE

“And why the hell are you grinning?” Sayaka asked me with a frown. “You’ve been acting all giggly since you woke up!”

I answered silently with a shake of my head. Today, Nyannyan will be back from the trip. I’ma surprise her at the airport! For sure she arranged no one to pick her since she never liked bothering someone for it.

“C’mon~ you’re really strange. After arriving here late last night giving me just a grin for a reason, now you’re up early! And it’s just 5AM for God’s sake! I can’t continue sleeping if you’ll be filling the room with your giggles!!” she continued ranting without taking her fierce look on me. It was because after I bought that bracelet for Nyannyan, my mind kept on wandering, thinking of the best way to give it to her. “I chose you as my room partner because I know you always wake up late!”

“Gomen~ you go to sleep. I’m going to take a shower.”

“Seriously?! It’s just past 5AM! The ride home won’t be up until 10AM today!”

“I won’t be joining you guys. I’m going ahead.” Her eyes looked really surprised. “I know~~ but I need to be early today~” I smiled at her before going inside the bathroom.

“What’s going on?” she asked from outside. “It’s the first time you’re bailing on us in years! You’re meeting someone?” I didn’t gave her an answer and instead open the shower. I pretended I heard nothing. “Oh my God! You’re meeting someone!!” I can’t help but giggle over it.

“Yeah. I am.”

“Who’s the lucky guy?” she asked curiously. “C’mon shaaareee~”

“Just because I’m early means I’m meeting some guy?” I laughed hard. “Can’t it be that I’m meeting my mom? Or my cousins?”

“Nah~ you don’t really make an effort to wake up early if it’s your family calling. I know you that much.”

“I don’t?” I laughed and realized that what she said was true. “I didn’t know until now!”

“You’re changing topics. Just tell me where you’re going.”

“I’m meeting a friend at the airport. We’re supposed to go to the island together but I chickened out.”

“Oh her… Ah~ I see.” I heard her footsteps walking away from the bathroom door before a plopping sound to the bed. She must’ve gone back to bed. “We’ll good luck then. Yuko… do I know that friend of yours?”

“I think…” I remember showing her a picture of her the other day.
