Reckless heart

Chapter 1

                            Early mornings
Beth's POV

   I groaned As the noises of someone knocking on my apartment door echoed through the empty space.

   I opened it to see my one and only best friend karma yes her name is karma. "You have a key." I whined "yeah but you need to be up." She walked in with coffee "ohh you have my attention" I said following the coffee "yeah yeah. Ok so party tonight." Karma said smiling "oh?" I said because usually I'm dragging her to parties. "I know I know but it's at a frat house with hot boys..." she said "I've been single for so long you've been single for so long" she continued "I don't need a guys right now." I said "yeah but still live a little." Karma sighed "oh fine. But Im not Cinderella. This isn't a fairy tale nor is this a Nicholas sparks book. I'm not gonna find anyone" I laughed and she shook her head "you never know" she said giving me a questionable look.

I looked at the clock and it read 1:37 so I drank my coffee as karma began to cook a late breakfast "ok so I look like a grease monkey so I'm gonna shower" I said as karma chuckled "yeah you have fun." She said and as I walking into my bathroom I heard "don't drown" from karma "I'll try my best" I yelled back as I peeled my pj's off and threw them to the floor.

I slipped into the shower and then turned the water on as I jammed out to afraid by the neighborhood. 

   Soon I was done and put a new bra on along with matching underwear and then slid on an oversized shirt and began drying my hair while sipping my coffee. Soon my hair was dry and I applied eyeliner mascara and some highlight to make myself look a little better and then added some matte nude lipstick.

"What times the party?" I yelled to karma as I searched for an outfit in my closet "8 but we're going at 9" she said "ok" I said confused on my it was such a precise time. I threw on a white crop top and black ripped jeans and then add my black SnapBack that said "your too close" I put it on to where the bill was facing backwards and then checked the one Which read 5:30 pm

I walked into the kitchen seeing that karma had made chicken and waffles along with eggs and some bacon "ok ok I see we got a chef" I said picking up the plate of food and scarfing it down.

By the time we were both done eating it was 6:00 pm and karma went to go get ready.

-8:30

Karma was finally done with her hair and she had a maroon tank top on with highwasted white ripped jean shorts on with combat boots.

"We look hot." I said as karma snapped a picture of us "indeed. Ok let's go I don't wanna be late." Karma said as we ran down to our Uber

We got into our Uber and I sat in the front seat because I like playing 20 questions "what's your favorite animal" I asked "birds" he said pointing to the tattoo of birds on his arm "why birds?" I asked "they are so free and careless" he said making eye contact and soon we were at our destination as the GPS spoke causing us to break eye contact.

     Karma and I said thank you while getting out. Soon karma was next to me staring at me like a geek "what?!" I asked "he was so into you..." she dragged out "shut up" I said "he was" she replied "stop." I said rolling my eyes "what?!" She said defensively "sh" I said as we walked into the house and the loud music yelled through the house.

     I watched as karma scanned the room and soon locked her eyes on the drinks "drinks?" She said "yes as long as there's some jack of vodka." I said following her. Once we reached the table I picked up the bottle of vodka and started to chug it "ah there he is!" Karma said "what?" I asked as she pushed me into some guy

    "Woah there" the blonde boy spoke softly "sorry my FRIEND IS AN IDIOT" I yelled so karma could here "ahh I feel like your friend is trying to hook us up" he said looking at karma then back to me "ha! Yeah sure" I laughed as his face remained in a serious position "oh no I don't like dating." I said as he smirked "i can change that" he whispered in my ear smirking

   What did this kid just say to me?
