Do you believe that opposites do attract when it comes to love?

I do believe that opposites attract if we're talking about electricity. But we can also say put it that way when it comes to love. Because just like the electricity, love also has spark when two people are attracted to each other. But these two people don't neccessarily have to be complete opposites. Well maybe they are..at times.

Hindi ko parin maalis sa isip ko ang sagot ko sa last question sa English exam kanina. Baka kasi hindi magustuhan nung bitter naming English teacher yung sagot ko sa testpaper.

Well, truth is..I really don't believe that opposites do attract..like N-O. I've been existing in this world for seventeen years already, and never in my life did I ever had a crush on someone who's a complete opposite of me. Puro mga gentlemen, prince-charming-type ang mga nagugustuhan ko. Sinulat ko lang yun for the sake of my grade-sayang eh! Five points din yun.

"Grabe! Nakakapagod naman.. Magki-Christmas vacation na nga lang, tatambakan pa tayo ng mga mahihirap na exams!" complain ni Stef.

Kakatapos lang kasi namin mag'exam. Kaya nandito kami sa cafeteria ngayon para mag'lunch.

"Try mo rin naman kasi mag'review, hindi lang puro boyfriend. You know?" sagot ko.

I'm Francesca Lopez by the way. 17 years old, 4th year highschool. I'm a pure Filipino. Si Gwen Stef Kirby naman ang bestfriend, classmate, and pinsan ko, na kasabay ko din minsan umuwi. Yes, minsan.. kapag absent yung boyfriend niya or kapag LQ sila, o di naman kaya, kapag nag-break na sila.. kidding!

"Palibhasa kasi, matalino ka na kaya di mo na kailangan mag'review ng subsuban. Kaya wag mo na ipamukha sakin na Top 1 ka at Top 30 lang ako." depensa niya bago sumubo uli ng spoonful of rice.

Yes. You read it right. Ako ang Top 1 sa buong batch namin. Kaya hindi na siguro kayo magtataka kung bakit sobrang grade conscious ako, na ultimo 5 points ayokong palagpasin. Habang si Stef naman ang Top 30 sa class namin na may 30 students all in all.. not bad huh.

"Hay naku, bilisan mo na lang ang pagkain diyan. Para hindi tayo ma'late sa practice natin mamaya. First day pa naman today." then I took I sip of my smoothie.

December na kasi and obviously, magkakaroon ng Christmas party next week ang bawat classroom. Pero aside from that, it's our school's tradition din to have a dance social at the latter part of the party, wherein all the students will be gathered together in the auditorium and have the opportunity to dance whoever they want to dance with.

"Wooh! Excited much, ateng? Tell me." she stared at me with a grin on her face.

"Tell you what?" I answered. Kind of annoyed.

"Tell me kung sino ba ang masuwerteng nilalang na nagugustuhan mo?"

"What? Saang barber shop mo naman nasagap ang balitang yan? Alam mong bihira lang ako magkagusto dito sa school kasi ayoko ng distraction sa studies eh."

"Weh? Eh bakit excited kang pumunta sa practice?"

Napapa-iling nalang akong nakatingin sa kanya.

"It's because ayoko ma'late, okay? Ayoko ma'apektuhan ang grades ko, at ayokong magkaroon ng bad record sa teachers. Clear?"

"Mm..kind of." dahan dahan niyang tinutungo tungo ang ulo niya.

"I can't believe you. We've been bestfriends since birth, but it seems like you don't know me yet. I'm disappointed with you, Stef." kunwaring napapailing ako.

"Hey! Alam ko namang studious and good student ka lang talaga. But anyway, ipaglalaban kita ng patayan kapag di ka nakakuha ng MOST OUTSTANDING BEHAVE OBEDIENT STUDENT AWARD sa graduation day. Honestly."
