He's gone. He's really gone.
Those words surrounded Annabelle De Angeles' thoughts as she roamed the Rose Garden, which surround a beautiful lake. It seemed completely normal, but with a drop of magic... Or that's what she thought.
Annabelle's red, slightly curly hair rested on her shoulders, she had many freckles spread across her face and had fair skin. She was quite slender, despite the large bump she had. She was a soon to be mother. In general, she looked as delicate as a feather. She was an easily likable person. Her green eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Just walking in the garden made her feel a rush of happiness. She pressed her thin lips together to form a smile.
Eventually, she arrived at what the town called "Rose Lake". It was a stunning view. Annabelle wished she could just sit there and look at her surroundings until the end of time. But of course she has responsibilities.
At this point you might think, who was Annabelle talking about . Who is gone?
It was her late husband. He died in a tragic accident while serving as a soldier. So she would visit the garden annually, to collect roses for his grave. The garden's atmosphere made her feel joy, and forget about the problems in her life.In that period of time, Annabelle felt depressed, as if her life was over. She felt as if a part of her heart has been ripped away. But she knew she couldn't stay like that forever. She learned later to enjoy life but to keep him in her heart. Besides, she had a baby on the way, which always bring happiness and joy to people.
She started to carefully pick roses from their bushes, avoiding any thorns.
Somehow, her wedding ring managed to slip from her finger. She never took it off, even after her husband passed away. When she wears it, she feels as if he's with her, even though he wasn't. She had to get it.It got stuck between a log and the edge of the lake. She cautiously started to walk across the edge of the lake and crouched. Her sandals didn't manage to resist the slippery grass. As she tried to reach for the ring, she slipped and fell into the lake.
Annabelle had no experience in swimming. She kept trying to swim up but if felt as if bricks were tied to her ankles and were pulling her down an endless pit of sorrow. Drowning was one of her biggest fears.
Just when she thought her life was over, there was a blue light and it seemed to be ... glowing.
She could almost see a manly figure. A hand reached into the water and lifted Annabelle to safety.A man carried her away from the lake and put her gently on the wet grass. Or was it a man? Her vision was getting clearer. The man had blue skin, long pitch black hair and blue eyes. His face was covered with glowing spots that went from under her chin. Out of thin air, he produced something. But Annabelle didn't get a chance to see it. Annabelle at this point believed that she was crazy. A blue creature? How is that even possible? She thought. Suddenly her eyelids became heavy and she drifted away. Darkness overcame her.
Annabelle woke up, in the same spot. It was probably my imagin– Before Annabelle could finish her thought, in her hand, she was clasping something. She unclasped her hand to reveal a necklace. It had a silver chain, and the main part of the necklace was an oval shaped, glass container. Inside there was blue water and a small gorgeous rose, floating.
Two months later, Annabelle gave birth to a wonderful baby, named Roseanne. Unfortunately, Annabelle was told she wasn't going to live after giving birth.
She still wore the necklace she was given and decided to hand it over to her daughter.
"If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you realize how special you are to me. I love you so much and want to give you this special necklace. I want you to treasure it as I treasure your father's ring." She said as she held Roseanne for one last time and placed the necklace around her neck.
The necklace was very light and didn't harm her at all. Despite how small Roseanne was, the necklace fitted her perfectly. As if she belonged with it.
