~*Abby's POV*~
I looked up into his deep brown eyes, it almost seemed as if they had caught flames in the sunset. His fine brown hair swayed slightly in the wind and I could feel his breath on my nose and his perfect hands locked into mine. Our bodies were locked close and we were both just standing there, and although the sky was a beautiful shade of orange, I could only concentrate on him. His face was inching closer to mine and our lips were were just centimeters away. "Abby?" he said, his breath tickling my lips. "Yes Liam?" I replied, trying to keep our faces close. "GET UP!"
Suddenly, my eyes popped open and my mom was hovered over me. "Abby, get up!" she demanded. "We're going to see your grandparents." Ugh! I pulled away my warm sheets and a wave of goosbumps shot down my body. This sucks. Every summer my mom and I go to visit my grandparents, and usually I just sit in the car and listen to music, but this year is different. This year One Direction is going on tour while I'm away, but it's not like I could afford to go anyway. I slipped on my Spongebob Squarepants slippers and walked out to our car. I didn't bother changing, after all, it was 2 am.
As my mom pulled out of our driveway and headed down the street, our house became more distant and I was becoming more and more depressed about the boys. I sighed and pulled a few strands of ginger hair out of my face, closing my eyes as I did so. Just forget about it Abby, there are plenty of other fans with worse situations, I thought to myself. Slowly, my thoughts became distant amd I drifted back into a dreamless sleep.
The sound of blaring car horns woke me up, and the light reflecting off of my phone almost blinded me as soon as I opened my eyes. The road was ridiculously congested, and my mom was obviously frustrated. She looked over at my still tired face, and a small smile spread across her own. "Goodmorning, sleeping beauty." she said. "We're in California, and we may be here for a while." she sighed and looked back at the road. Great, now we're stuck and I'm bored as hell. I reached out and turned up the volume to the radio and a male voice came on. "This is just crazy! These boys had to switch hotels because too many girls were waiting outside? These fans are just-" I couldn't help but laugh, they just don't understand.
The car was barely moving, and by the time we were finally able to approach normal speed it was late. I could see the buildings start to light up, and judging by the salty, humid breeze, we were near San Diego. I felt more depressed than ever, the boys are performing in San Diego tomorrow and here we are, about to pass right through it. Suddenly the car jerked to the side and my mom and I both squealed in horror. "Mom!" I gasped, and I didn't notice originally, but my grip on the arm rest was extremely tight. "Abby, I'm so sorry! I'm just... we're gonna have to stop." she stated sounding defeated, but more tired than anything. "Sounds much better than dying." I joked.

I layed in the extremely soft hotel bed and stared at the ceiling. This type of thing isn't unusual, I become quite the insomniac when I'm upset or worried, but there was something else keeping me up. The jerks next door have been up since we got here, and they won't shut up! "Guys, let me in! This isn't even funny!" one of them yelled and banged on the door. I couldn't take it anymore, I shot up and scooted out of bed slowly, so I wouldn't wake my mom. She's always way too nice, so of course she'd try to stop me, but I needed my sleep. I cracked the door open and slipped out into the hall, the guy was still banging on the door and it was obvious that he hadn't heard me. "Excuse me," I said and tapped his shoulder. "Can you please-"
He turned and his piercing blue eyes caught my hazel ones. He was standing right in front of me and I almost dropped to the ground crying, but I forced myself not to. "Oh, I'm sorry." he said, and his amazing Irish accent almost forced me to pass out. "Oh... Umm... Th-that's alright." I stuttered and realized my hand was now digging into his shoulder, I could feel my cheeks start to burn and laughed. His laugh. Oh my gosh, his laugh washed away any ounce of embarrassment that was left in my body and replaced it with pure bliss.
His door swung open, making me flinch. "Niall, what're you doing out h- Oh, hello!" I was paralyzed, Liam was standing at the door grinning warmly. My heart was beating out of control and I'm pretty sure my normally pale skin was like that of a lobster. Suddenly, Niall pushed past Liam and entered their room. "Thanks stranger!" he yelled and winked at me. "Well look at what you've done!" Liam chuckled and put his hand on my shoulder. Is this real? Can someone pinch me right now to validate what's going on? I didn't say anything, I couldn't! I just stood there, in front of Liam freaking Payne, looking like an idiot.
"Erm... You can come in if you'd like, we're playing Monopoly." he said. I looked over his shoulder and four other perfect boys smiled at me. OH. MY. GOSH. "Okay." I forced out, trying to sound as calm as possible, but honestly, this was the best thing I'd ever experienced in my 17 years of existence.
