Here I sit, again. Desperately trying to pick up my books from the ground. After having tise bullies knock them down again. Wind blowing around me, I fear I'll never see them again. Just as I'm about to give up a young girl crouches down beside me, and starts helping me pick up my books and paper.

"Why are you helping me?" I stutter, and a look of curiosity spreads across my face.

"You looked like you needed help," she replied, sweetly smiling in my direction. "My name's Glacier, what's yours?" she asks me extending my science text book out towards me.

"Aaraav," I replied, mystified by this kind person.

After that she just started hanging out with me, and she even introduced me to her friends! I only paid attention to one though, Demetruis. His name stuck to me like glue to paper. When we met my sleeves had been rolled up to show the scars on my wrists.

"Why would you do this?!" he asked me grabbing my wrists. "How could you hurt such a perfect person like you?!"

My only response I had been able to wrasp out was, "'Cause I'm not perfect."

He never left me alone after that. Taking me to my classes and assuring me that I wasn't alone. I still continued. Apparently he let Glacier know as well 'cause she kept slipping me chocolate when she saw me.

But suddenly they stopped? I don't know what I did but every night I lied awake trying to figure out what drove us apart. Why had they stopped? So here I stand on to of the highest bridge overlooking the river on campus, ready to jump. To end it all, when he shows up.

"Aaraav! What are you doing?!" he shouts to me, running at top speed.

"I'm sorry," I mouth to him, and lean back, letting myself fall back, off the bridge.

Everything around me blurs as it rushes past. All I see is him ripping of his jacket, shirt, and pants jumping in after me. With a loud splash my vision darkens. THe next thing I feel is his gentle touch pulling us both to the surface. I cough, and strain to ask him a question.

"Why? Why did you save me? I thought you hated me."

"Aaraav, you are the most wonderful thing in the world, and if I have to jump into a lake after you to prove I love you, I will," he tells me sturnley before the lack of oxygen gets to me, and I pass out.

When the world finally comes back I'm laying in his house staring at the ceiling. He's next to me, waiting for me to wake up, and for once I smile.
