"That was the most amazing experience of my entire life, did you see me I was flying!" Zitha exclaimed and stared at the night sky, she had no idea where they were but she didn't care. She stood with her feet in the water and admired the scenery around her. The water was strange, there were several pools each at every level going further and further up. Some of the pools had a tree growing in them.
"This place is so beautiful, where are we?" She asked. Jae was sitting on a rock nearby watching Zitha, he shrugged "I don't know, we have not yet reached our destination I just wanted you to rest. Truthfully we could get there in the blink of an eye but I want to show you the beauty of this world" Jae said.
"Why?"
"I want you to at least see the world outside your village before you decide that you want to live your life as a priestess"
"Why do you care so much about my decision to be a priestess, I am merely a stranger who helped you" Zitha said.
"Exactly, you helped me and now I must help you. Your heart is full of sadness and I want to change that"
Zitha stared at Jae for a while and then she resumed her admiration of the night sky. Afterwards she sat beside Jae and he smiled at her.
"Tell me Zitha, how old are you?" He asked . Zitha looked at the sky and sighed "I am eighteen years old" she said sadly. "You are incredibly young"
"Yes but I am almost too old to get married, even if I did decide to forsake my priesthood, who would want to marry me at this age"
"What do you mean you're too old?" Jae asked.
"The girls in my village start marrying at the age of fourteen , when a girl reaches eighteen it's highly unlikely that she is still single and those who are still single, well they'll only be so lucky to find a man who loves them enough to marry them regardless" Zitha said.
"And do you want to get married Zitha?" He asked. Zitha turned to look at him and nodded. "Yes I would" she said. Jae leaned closer to her and Zitha did the same. She had a seen a young couple get close to each other at the stream once, she'd watched as they slowly leaned in until they were nose to nose. She didn't get to see what happened what happened afterwards because the priestess called her.
She remembered that the girl had her eyes closed and so she leaned further and then she closed her eyes. "Zitha do you know what's about to happen?" Jae asked.
"No" she whispered. Jae sighed and pulled away. She was a wide eyed innocent and had no idea what she was getting into. "Come, we still have a long way to go" he said and stood up. Zitha was utterly disappointed but she stood up and firmly wrapped her arms around his neck, maybe she really was too old to indulge in such things, if so then what was the point of wanting to be free.

They'd travelled for a week and Jae was almost sure that Zitha wouldn't want to go back to her village. He'd never seen another human appreciate the beauty of earth the way she did. She lit up at every destination and wanted to know everything about anything.
She was also a kind and cheerful to everyone they met throughout their journey. He was in love with her smile, to him it had to be the most beautiful smile God had ever created. Jae began to chastise himself , being involved romantically with a human was forbidden but yet he couldn't help falling in love with the innocent young girl.
