"Manny get up, I'm not gonna tell you again! you only have two hours before you need to be at the airport,"
"Okay mom," I groan as I roll over. I flutter my eyelids open, which are still craving rest.
I remained laying in my bed until I had a realization that she just said two hours, in which I needed to get ready and finish packing. my body instantly shot up from my bed.
I recently became apart of a foreign exchange program and today is the day of my departure. I will be going to Australia and living with a host family.
I stripped out of my pajamas to take a shower. I listened to the large droplets hit the marble while the water warmed my skin perfectly.
"Nobodies gonna love you if you can't display a way to capture this..." Honestly, why can't I sound this good outside the walls of my bathroom?
I ran my soapy fingers though my hair gently.
"MANNY!" My mom shouted, which is my cue to stop singing.
When I finished my shower I dried my hair, my body, and brushed my teeth with a hour and 15 minutes to spare.
I wrapped my towel around my body before running to my room, dodging the cold air that hit my bare skin.
Opening my drawer, I pulled out a pair of leggings and a Man Overboard shirt that states "Defend Pop Punk" in floral lettering.
I unzipped my suitcase that I had already packed and shuffled around for my black vans and my extensions. My mid-boob length hair is very thin, so I wear extensions to enhance it.
Both my hair and eyes are brown, my eyes more of a dark shade of honey. My body is pear shaped, but remains thin. My complexion is a light olive (honestly have no idea what that means but that's what people tell me). I have acne that rests on my hair line that annoys me so much, although my least favorite part of my body are my scars, which lay hidden on the top of my thunder thighs.
I dab light makeup over my acne and enhance my eyes with a few strokes of mascara.
Once I finish getting ready, I lift my suitcase on to my bed to check if everything was there. I stuffed a few more shirts in before zipping it up.
I carry my near-busting suitcase
out to my moms car and set it in the back seat. The day is hot, and everything is so beautiful.
"You're wearing that?" My mom questions as I get back inside.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, don't you think it's too hot outside?"
"No, in leggings you don't even feel like you're wearing anything, they're are super comfy, I will be on the plane not outside, and confidence is comfy." I explained.
"Fair enough," she shrugged and walked into the other room.
I scan my room once more, grabbing my camera and my headphones.
"You ready to go?" I ask my mom.
"Yep."
I get into the car. I can feel the hot leather through my leggings. I roll down my window, and breathe in fresh air, since the car was suffocatingly hot.
