Chapter 1
Justin's POV
Music was blasting out of the speakers, with drunken girls trying to sing along to them at the top of their lungs. I sat surveying the club. My eyes landed on a few girls, but none that really captured my eye. I took a sip of my beer and felt the familiar burn in the back of my throat. The music stopped playing, but the noise of everyone in here continued. The DJ said a few things over the mic, but I wasn't in the mood to listen.
Suddenly I heard a sexy voice sing. I looked up at the small stage in the club and saw five girls standing there. The girl in the middle caught my attention.
Lauren's POV
I felt my heart pounding in my chest. Why was I nervous? I sang on stage all the time. Everyone's drunken eyes were on me as I sang the first few words.
"Calling all my girls.. There's an SOS tonight.. Let's have some fun, yeah."
The fear quickly dissolved as I looked to my right and saw Camila and Dinah. I continued to sing the rest of my part when Normani tagged on, singing her part. I smiled and looked at her as the words flowed out of her mouth. I looked out and realized that many of the people were singing along to our song.
"I got my best dress on and I feel like dancing all night long. Nothing's gonna stop me, you're what I want.
So, baby, come and get me
'Cause I don't wanna dance alone." We all sang the chorus.
Unfortunately, the song was coming to an end.
"Don't let me dance alone. I don't wanna dance alone," Camila sang, finishing the song. The crowd suddenly started shouting and clapping for us. A huge smile overtook my face and a felt a tug on my arm. I looked to see Ally; we had to get off the stage. Camila blew a kiss as we descended down the stairs.
Justin's POV
"Wow, they were-" Ryan started saying.
"Hot?" Suggested Chaz.
"No, good, dumbass," Ryan finished and I laughed. I licked my bottom lip and stood up. "Where you going?" Ryan asked.
"I'm gonna go introduce myself to those lovely ladies," I said. I pushed my way through the crowd of dancing bodies to the stage, with the guys following right behind me. The five of them were making their way down the steps.
The one wearing a bow came down first tripping over her own feet. Just as she made it to the last step, she fell forward. I quickly reached out and grabbed her upper arm, steadying her. Her eyes met mine as she looked up and went pale.
"You alright there shawty?" I asked.
"Uhh-err-umm-blahh..."
"Camila, are you okay?" Another girl asked coming up behind her.
"It-it-it's Justin!" She said turning to her friend. I laughed at her reaction, usually girls attacked me, this one couldn't even form a sentence.
"What? Move!" The tall girl in the back yelled pushing her friends to the side. She rushed over to where I was and put a hand on her hip, sticking it out. "I'm Dinah Jane," she said with a smile. "Camila, if you're not gonna talk then move, I'll actually have a conversation with him."
"Dinah's being bossy," the girl Camila said with a pout, turning to the one with the eyes.
She was wearing a little black dress with heels. She looked up and her eyes locked with mine. It seemed as if we were the only two in the room.
"It's okay mama, handle it yourself. You'll be fine," she said laughing at Camila.
"You got a cute laugh, don't ya?" I said to her.
She laughed once again blushing, looking down, "I guess so."
I smiled at her and took a step closer. "I'm Justin," I said looking down at her. She looked up and nodded.
"I know." She took her bottom lip between her teeth.
"Wanna dance?" I asked her. She looked next to her, where her four other friends stood.
"Say yes!" Camila said in a loud whisper. Lauren laughed and looked back at me, nodding her head. I grinned as I took hold of her hand, leading her out to the center of the dance floor. I pushed a few people aside to make room for us. I rested my hands on her hips and she moved side-to-side looking around at the people surrounding us.
"Everything okay?" I whispered in her ear.
Lauren's POV
That voice. That whisper. How could someone sound so sexy? Was it really that possible? His hot breath sent chills down my spine. I couldn't even form a coherent sentence so I just nodded. He spun me around and pulled me closer to him, my back against his front.
He guided me to grind on him, my hips moving side to side. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks; I hadn't danced like this with anyone before. "I think your friend needs you," he whispered to me. Confused, I looked up and saw Camila doing her worst dance move; that little walk thing that she does.
"What?" I mouthed to her.
"Camila! Let's go!" Ally said grabbing Camila's arm and pulling her away.
"Camren is still on!" she yelled. "I'm watching you Justin!" she pointed a finger at him.
"Oh my god," I mumbled under my breath. "I'm sorry about that, she can be a bit... wild."
Justin laughed and shrugged. "It's cute." I laughed along with him. "Looks like my friend Austin likes her," he nodded his head in their direction. I turned to look; his friend Austin was slowly sliding his hand around Camila's waist.
"Oh no, that's not good," I said.
"Why wouldn't that-" but before Justin could finish his question Camila turned and smacked Austin's hand off her waist.
"No, hands to yourself mister!" she scrunched up her nose and pointed a finger in his face. From the distance I could hear Dinah and Normani laugh at her. Austin looked at Justin and me and threw his hands up in a question.
I gave him a shrug and laughed.
This was gonna be a long night...
