(Author's Note: Please know that I am only writing this to inform my mother about my religion, so please don't be a shithead and comment Bible verses down below...)
So, Satanism is really an umbrella term for different beliefs. Let me explain, there are more than one different types of Satanism: There's Reactive Satanism, which is the belief of Satan being an evil entity, but one to be worshipped. Theistic or Esoteric Satanism, which is the recognition of more than one supernatural being. Then there's Luciferians, who believe that Satan (Lucifer) is seeing Lucifer as having physical existence, and being a spiritual figure. There's more than that, but it would take forever to type.
Now, onto my own religion. I believe in Luciferianism, where Lucifer (Latin for "light bringer") is a divine spirit, meant to be a guardian, guiding spirit, or even the true God. In the King James' version of the Bible, the name Lucifer is translated from Hebrew to "Shining one, light bearer." Another misconception is the fact that in the Bible, nowhere does it say that The Devil had horns, goat legs or even a tail. I did however, say that Lucifer was God's most perfect creation.
Later, Christian tradition started using the Latin word for "morning star" as a proper name for the Devil. For Luciferians, enlightenment is the ultimate goal, and basic Luciferian principles highlight truth and freedom of will. Basically, believing in Lucifer means to treat yourself as a god, and treat people the way you wish to be treated.

11. when walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

1. One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason.
2. The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
3. One's body is inviolable, subject to one's own will alone.
4. The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo your own.
5. Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.
6. People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and resolve any harm that may have been caused.
7. Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
