Sero Hanta grunted as he fumbled with his apartment's doorknob, the plastic bags hanging from his arms continuously banging against the flimsy wood. It was the middle of summer, and since the building didn't have air-conditioning in its halls, the poor sidekick was sweating through his shirt.

The key finally clicked, forcing the door to suddenly swing open. Sero stumbled inside, almost dropping his shopping on the floor. He hauled the bags into the kitchen, throwing them sloppily onto the counter. He sighed, opening the fridge door and collapsing into the cold shelves.

It was dinner time, but he had absolutely no motivation to cook. He didn't even feel that hungry. After the long and busy day he'd had, all he wanted to do was take a cool shower and go to sleep.

Unfortunately, he wasn't the only person in this house, so Sero dragged his feet out of the fridge and went through the living area, searching around for his mischievous boyfriend. He knew it was a horrible idea to let Kaminari cook, but he was just too tired to worry about the well-being of their kitchen.

Their apartment wasn't very big, but it had more smaller rooms than the usual apartment. It was meant for only one person, but the couple liked the solitude and the area too much to let it go. They'd decorated it with the idea that no one would ever come over – nerdy TV posters and shelves upon shelves of figurines lined the walls, along with cool little items that others would call 'gaudy'. Sero had always been a simple guy, but he had to admit, seeing his home decorated like this reminded him of who he was with, and that made him happy.

"Denki? I'm home," Sero called, sliding off his shoes before the hallway. He switched the lights on and went down the hall, approaching their bedroom. He found it empty, so he turned around and went to the other end of the hall. This was the apartment's guestroom, which they had turned into a man-cave instead. Sero peeked inside, finding his boyfriend sitting cross-legged on the mini couch. His expression was blank, meaning he was deep in thought.

Sero walked inside and shut the door, trying not to gain Kaminari's attention just yet. Kaminari was staring at his laptop with glassy eyes, loud music blaring from his lightning headphones. He was clearly doing his work, and Sero knew that made him feel tired and down, so he decided to let him finish first.

He stood by the door for a while, letting the day's struggles slowly ease out of him as he watched his precious boyfriend click and scroll through the screen. They'd been dating for six years, and he never regretted one moment of it. Surprisingly enough, it was Kaminari who asked him out, despite being previous known as openly heterosexual. To be fair, they'd both been drunk when he asked because it was their U.A. reunion celebration, but after waking up naked together in Momo's bathroom with raging migraines and copious love-bites, they figured they might as well give it a try.

Since they'd been at the crazy age of twenty-one, the two experimented with many different things throughout their first year together. Sometimes Sero missed that time, since he'd felt so alive. But as the years progressed, the flare of passion they'd initially felt had slowly died out. That didn't mean they didn't still love each other, though. By this time, they'd both worked for several years and had fallen into a regular adult schedule. Everything was natural; the kisses, the cuddling. It didn't feel new and exciting, and it didn't make their hearts race anymore. But they enjoyed this new feeling just as much. It was strange and warm, but it was addicting.

Feeling the sudden need for a hug, Sero pushed himself off the wall and passed by his boyfriend to sit on the couch. Kaminari jolted backwards, a surprised look on his face. He smiled slightly, shaking off his headphones. That soft, serene smile always made Sero melt.
