It was a lonely night in Denmark, and Caique was sitting alone in her bed, she was texting our Doki Doki Discord Club, and probably making fun of Rue, we may never know. But, pine was invisible, as per usual, and hadn't been talking to the club in a couple days. Everyone was worried, but Caique was worried the most. Caique really cared about pine, and it was mutual. Whenever pine was sad, Caique was sad, and vice versa. Usually he was relatively active... but for a couple weeks he hadn't talked at all. Caique took note of that, and DM'd him one day...

Pine never responded. This worried Caique even more, and messaged him multiple times, but to no avail.

It was the fateful night on December 24th that Caique realized his true feelings.
Pine had been working late every day and came home exhausted, never having time to talk to caique. It was torture for him, and for caique, but he had to deal with it for what amazing prize waited for him.
~~december 23rd, 2018 - 9 PM
Caique was sitting in her room, as per usual, drawing birbs. Suddenly, a knocking came upon the door.
"I'll get it!!" she yelled, running downstairs towards the front door.
She looked through the peep hole on the door, and gazed through and gasped; she opened the door as fast as lightning and yelled,
"PINE????" Her eyes widened at the sight of him, whether in shock or happiness, thats up to pine.
He shrugged, and smiled weakly. "Its been a while huh?"
"C'mon, get inside, get inside, its cold!!" She said, ushering him into the warmly, and brightly lit house.
Caique was wearing her favourite red flannel button up, and some leggings. If she had known he was coming to see her, she probably would've dressed up a bit more appropriately, but due to the situation, she had no obligation to.
Pine was wearing a large windbreaker, with a white sweater underneath. He had his luggage with him, which, unfortunately, Caique wasn't strong enough to be able to carry them.
"How did you even get here??"
"I took a flight from denmark," Pine said, in a very out of breathe danish accent, "I've been saving up for months, just to see you."
Caique blushed at the statement, "W-Whatever! Not like I knew about it..."
"Hey, its fine. It was supposed to be a surprise."
"Why though?"
"A christmas present."
Caique sighed and shook her head, and continued walking down the hallway till they got to the guest bedroom, "Okay just set your stuff here. Unpack if you want, doesnt seem like you're going to stay long." She closed the door.
Caique put her back to the door and slid down it, sighing. "What the fuck?"
She got up slowly, as to not make any noise, and quietly opened the door to her room, two rooms down from pine's. Her heart was racing. She tried to sleep multiple times, but struggled to. Everytime she did her mind flashed images of pine. Not like it mattered though, even if she was sleeping she'd be woken up by someone knocking on her door.
"Yeah?" She called.
"Hey.. uh can I come in?" Pine asked.
"Yeah... sure..." Caique said, voiced filled with anxiety.
"Hey um," Pine said, walking into her dimly lit room, "Was it... wrong of me to come here?"
"Um..." caique paused, "Not really... just a shocker is all."
"Really? I'm sorry... I can go, if you want."
"No, no its fine just... Surprised."
"Okay... well I just wanted to see you. And uh, by the way... Merry Christmas."
Caique looked down at her phone. It was 12:01 AM. She looked at him and smiled brightly.
"Merry Christmas!" Christmas was Caique's favourite holiday.
Pine walked over to where Caique was laying down, and caique looked at him quizzically.
"Huh?"
Pine leaned down and kissed caique on the forehead. "Love ya."
Pine started walking away, when Caique tugged on his sweater.
"S-Stay..." She said, blushing.
Pine blushed. "Sure."
Caique lifted up the covers, inviting Pine in. He got in, and snuggled up close to caique.
"Merry Christmas." He said, sighing into exhaustion into Caique's shoulder.
"Merry Christmas," Caique said, turning slightly to look at pine, who appeared to be sleeping.
"Love ya too."
