Have Faith in Me

Skye's P.O.V:

"What Happened?" was all I could hear through Austin Carlile screaming from my headphones. I turned around to see it was my best friend, Jenny, all I saw behind her was an empty hall way. I took off my headphones to hear her familiar voice,the sweet voice I've heard since the third grade, "What Happened?" said Jenny with the look of confused. "Nothing just some problems," I said with a straight face, holding back the tears that wanted to burst out of me.

"You've been saying that over the last month!" Jenny screamed while throwing her hands up. "My dad fucking died last month, but you were having too much fun to even answer your phone!" I screamed as if no one could hear me.

"Oh, I see.." she said as she understood everything I was feeling. "Yeah, today marks one month since his death...." I stopped as i felt some tears running down my cheek. "How did he die?" said Jenny while putting her hand on my shoulder showing me that everything was alright. "He was coming home from work and he stopped at a red light and this drunk driver crashed with my dad's car and he died second later," I could see a tears running down her face as I told her.

She took a deep breath and told me "Where did you plan to go anyways?" as she tried to make me forget about my dad." I was going to my apartment," I said with a fake smile on my face. "Common," she said while walking to the parking lot." Where are we going?" I said worried."Somewhere fun," said Jenny with a grin on her face.

Jenny's P.O.V:

I was taking her to the place we met when we where in third grade.We haven't been there since I can remember.She got into my car and I drove to the special place. She was looking to the distance as her red bright hair has going crazy with the wind. She looked up and saw where I was taking her, she gave me a smile and got off the car before I stopped.

She quickly went to the swings and started swinging as high as she could. Laughter filled the air, she was so happy.She started slowing down and she came to a sudden stop she came close to me and gave me hug. She said, "Thanks i really needed this."

I tapped her shoulder and yelled, "Tag, you're it!" And she turned her head as quick as she could and started running after me.I ran up the stairs to the playground and was going to the slide when I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard her say, " You're it!" She ran to my car and she stopped and checked her phone.She was getting a phone call.It was her brother. I am not sure what he said to her but she went from a smile to a worried face.What could have he said to her that would make her worry?

Skye's P.O.V:

I got a phone call as I was running from Jenny, it was my brother.He hasn't talked to me since my dad's death."Hello?" I heard my brother say,"Skye? Can we talk?" "Yeah, is something wrong? Did you get hurt?" I said as the thought of the things that could've happen to him passed my mind, but his voice broke the thoughts "No I didn't get hurt. It's about my girlfriend.." a sudden pause came "...she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and it's already spreading."

I didn't know what to say to him.I all could manage to say was "I'm sorry," but that isn't going to help at all. He asked me if I could go with him to see her. I agreed to go with him because that is the least I could do for my big brother. I told Jenny if she could drive me, she agreed but she wanted to go in with us.I told her that i wanted some time alone with my brother.

She drove me to my car back at the school. She gave me a hug before i got off the car and said, "Everything will be okay." I gave her a smile and walked fast to my car. I drove up to the hospital and went to the room my brother's girlfriend was in.He was outside the room sitting with his hands covering his eyes.I placed my hand on his shoulder and he looked up at me and gave me a smile while getting up and putting his arms around me."Have you seen her?" I asked while still hugging him. "No..I didn't have the strength to see her on my own," he said while he pushed me back a little so he could see my face." You are still the same as before," he said with a grin on his face. "You haven't changed at all," I said pushing him back.

"Let's go see her?" I asked as I waited for an answer."Yeah, let's go," he said pushing me to the door.I opened the door to see Myra smiling at me as I made my way to her. I sat next to her bed." Hey.... I haven't seen you in a while," she said as she placed her hand over mine.I couldn't say anything I felt really sad and I knew if i talked tears would start running down my cheek.So i just gave her a smile as I gently squeezed her hand.My brother broke the tension in the room when he asked Myra if she wanted anything to eat."No...just water would be fine," she said struggling to get those simple words out.

" I better get going," I said and gave a hug to Myra and my brother.When i got to my car I just started crying my eyes out. I couldn't hold it back anymore first my dad's death and know the person my brother loves the most is dying by every breath she takes.I drove home and got a text message from my co-worker asking me if I was going to work today. I just replied with a "No, I'm not feeling well," and dropped my phone in the couch.I took off my skinny jeans and put on some sweat pants, then i took off my A Day to Remember shirt and put on a sweater.

I was going through my Facebook when I noticed my favorite band was going to be touring in my town.I screamed. I called Jenny and said "A Day to Remember is coming to our town!" She surprised me when she said she got us tickets to go see them. All I could think was about how I was going to meet the love of my life Neil Westfall.I was so happy that I was going to sleep so I could sleep in a happy mood. As i was laying down I got a text message, it was my brother, he said "Hey can you call me?"I called him and he was crying. "What's wrong?" I asked. "She just passed away..." he said and stopped."I am so sorry I knew you loved her..." I stopped as I felt tears in my eyes. He said he had to go so I hanged up.I layed in my bed crying,asking myself "Can life be really this fucked up? That when something good happens to you, something has to come and ruin it? I just didn't want to live anymore I wanted to give up, but knowing that I was going to see A Day to Remember and meet Neil Westfall made me rethink everything.
