Broken

We sat on the floor in the living room with Jae and went through the album. "I knew one day he'd ask more about you so I wanted him to know what you look like and what you did." He smiled at me and glanced over the pages. "Was it hard going through it alone?" I could hear sorrow in his voice and it stung my heart. "Sometimes. I missed you a lot and thought of you everyday." Our eyes met and he moved closer. "I missed you too. I never stopped searching for you." He places his hand over mine and took a deep breath. "I know you have Joey, but I meant what I said before. I want us to be a family. I can work something out with the company and tell the fans. I don't want to lose either of you. I know I have other things to work out before we begin again, but I'm willing to turn it all away for the ones I love and want." I knew he meant his relationship when he said other things to work out. My heart started pounding when he said that. I've waited so long to hear him say those things to me and I knew he meant it. "It's a lot to take in so please give me time to think. I'm sorry I didn't wait for you but I wasn't the only one who didn't wait." His face lost all color and he moved closer. "You don't understand I'm not dating her like how I dated you. We're just spending time together because of the show we're promoting. It's not romantic at all. I had a small relationship after you left but it didn't last she wasn't you. Please don't misunderstand I don't want anyone but you." He was pleading for me to believe him and I wanted to but I decided to wait and see if it's true. "Please just give me some time." He nodded and moved to Jae. I heard my phone ring a saw it was another message from Joey. I tried to respond to all of his messages but I was busy with Jae and Jinyoung. It rang again and I tried to silence it but Jinyoung motioned for me to answer. "You should just answer it, if not he'll keep calling." I could tell he was just as irritated as I was. We had only been alone a few hours and Joey was calling and texting non stop. "I'm gonna go shower can you watch him for me?" Jinyoung's face lit up and he nodded. "Of course." I giggled and walked to my room. I love seeing them interact and Jae is so much like his father. I enjoyed my hot shower and took my time so they could bond. Thankfully there weren't any hickeys from last night. I couldn't keep my mind off of what Joey said. He's said I love you plenty of times. The only difference this time was we're in a romantic relationship. I'm glad they interrupted because I didn't know how to respond. Do I love him like that yet? Am I falling for Jinyoung all over again? Is Joey just overreacting? I decided to stop thinking about it and finished up. I got dressed and ran out to the living room. When I saw them I couldn't help but laugh at them. Jinyoung was standing up with his arms stretched out holding Jae, and he was covered in throw up. His face was so cute and when he saw me he panicked. "I promise I didn't do anything wrong he.. he just threw up." I grabbed Jae and set him down. "It's ok it happens  Jinyoung." He smiled and helped me clean Jae up. "You stink take your shirt off it's covered in throw up." Jinyoung laughed and he started to take his shirt off but it got caught in his necklace. I helped him take it off and froze when I saw he was wearing my necklace. "You still have this?" I looked at him and he smiled down at me. "Of course I do. i never take it off. It's my good luck charm." My hands were around the tiny birds hanging from his neck and he wrapped his big hands around mine.

FLASHBACK
"Jagi what are you doing?"
"Keep your eyes shut it's a surprise Oppa!"
"Waeee, you know I don't like surprises."
"I'm almost done."
I stepped back and stared at the little birds dangling from his neck. It was small and simple but I loved it. I decided to get him a custom necklace of 2 birds together. He never wears jewelry but I wanted him to have this.
"Ok you can open your eyes now."
"What's this? You know I don't like to wear stuff like this."
"I know Oppa, but look it's 2 baby birds. One for you, and one for me."
He smiled down at me and kissed my forehead 
"I don't usually wear stuff like this but I will for you."
<END OF FLASHBACK>

"Why do you still wear it?" I didn't want to look him in the eyes. "Because it represents you, and I always want to have you with me." I didn't know how to respond. I looked up to see his love filled eyes. A small smile crept upon my face and he chuckled. "So this is why you're ignoring my calls. I knew you'd fall for him again!" We separated and I walked over to Joey. "It's not what you think. Let her explain. Jinyoung moved to Jae and picked him up. "You're shirtless and you were holding each other. If I hadn't walked in you would have kissed. What's there to explain." I flinched when Joey threw his keys down. "We weren't going to kiss Joey calm down." I moved to his side and placed my hand on his shoulder. "She's my girlfriend Jinyoung not yours!" He stood in front of me and glared at Jinyoung. "I know that! I get she moved on! What are you going to do if she decides to move back to Korea like I asked her to?" Joey turned to face me and I could see sadness in his eyes. "You're thinking of moving back? You left so Jae could have a peaceful life here." His voice was broken and I felt terrible. "Jinyoung deserves to be a part of Jae's life. He helped me make Jae. You knew one day this would happen. You encouraged me to tell him remember?" I tried to grab his hand but he dodged it. "I don't want to miss out on anything else. I want to watch my son grow up."  Jinyoung held Jae closer and looked over to me. "Let me guess you're going to leave me and start over with him huh? What about me? Did you just use me to fill the space he left? I love Jae too! I see him as my son too!" I shook my head and tried to get him to listen to me. "I don't know what's going to happen yet. I want to be with you, but you're the one making this difficult. Jinyoung will always be in my life, we're connected by Jae." Jinyoung walked towards the hallway with Jae. "I'm gonna take Jae  to the other room and give y'all time to talk things out."
