It was Trafalgar Law's birthday. Luffy knew he didn't want to make a big deal about it but how could he not? Seriously who did this guy think he was dating?? Law didn't like huge parties so Luffy should keep it just close friends right? But Luffy couldn't plan a party by himself, he had no idea where to start! Who did he know that could plan a party? Usopp! Usopp could! Oh, and Zoro! Could Law's friends plan a party? Maybe Penguin and Sachi, they seemed pretty cool. That's it! Law's friends should help plan it! Luffy rolled across the bed to get his phone. Law was in the living room, he was doing something or other that looked boring so Luffy decided to come up with an idea for Law's birthday with was in 6 days!
It took him a minute but Luffy found penguin's number, so he called him.
"Luffy? What's up, man?" Penguin answered. Luffy checked to make sure the bedroom door was closed. It was.
"Torao's birthday is on Saturday," Luffy stated bluntly.
"What!?" Penguin exclaimed. Luffy frowned, he didn't know? Him and Law have been friend's for years how could he not? "He never told us!"
"I want to throw him a party!" Luffy stated a little louder than he had meant to.
"That'd be awesome!" Penguin exclaimed.
"I don't think Law would like that.." a background voice said, Sachi. Those two were always together!
"Nah, it wouldn't be anything like the Christmas party," Penguin said, no longer talking to Luffy. "It'd be smaller, just his friends, Law doesn't like big parties."
"That's what I thought!" Luffy jumped back into the conversation. "You guys could plan it right? you seem good at stuff like that. The phone was silent for a little while.
"Yeah, that works, just when and where?" Sachi asked.
"My house," Luffy stated as if it were the only obvious option.
"Torao only has to work in the afternoon on Saturday." That was something Luffy had asked about multiple times to be sure he remembered. "So it'll be perfect!"
"Okay... Who should go?" Luffy thought about it for a moment.
Law didn't get along with most of his family... he didn't have a ton of friends...
"All you guys.....and my friend's......" Luffy thought about Law's family. There had only been a couple that he met. "And Corazon, Lami, and Fai!"
"Wait a minute, who're those last three?" Sachi asked.
"Traffy's little sister, uncle, and cousin!"
"Law has a sister?!" Penguin shouted.
"Yeah, mentioned her a couple years ago dude," Sachi explained. "She's only a couple years younger than Law,"
"Alight Luffy! We can handle all the planning but you're going to have to talk to Law's family we've never met any of them!" Penguin declared. Luffy nodded. That surprised him, Law's sister and cousin came over a lot.
"Alright! Thanks a bunch!" Luffy said, "See ya later!" He hung up just as the bedroom door swung open. Luffy dropped his phone on the mattress.
"Who was that?" Law asked, sitting at the edge of the bed. Luffy bit his lip and averted his eyes.
"Just Ace!" He said suddenly. Law frowned a little. Luffy knew he wasn't good at hiding things but this should be easy! Right? Besides, it's only a few days, surely Luffy could keep that up.
