My Life Saver

Chapter 5

Bella's POV

I walk in and the house is quiet. I walk to the kitchen and see a note on the fridge my mom left telling me she left for the week for a business trip and won't be back until next week. I open the fridge and try to find something to eat and decide on eating cereal. I wash my plate and go upstairs to take a shower.

I hop inside the shower and feel the warm water hit my body and feel my whole body relax. I turn off the water and wrap my towel around my body. I change into pj's and sit on my bed and scrolled through my laptop.

My whole night consisted of watching movies on Netflix and eating junk food.I was really dreading of going to school tomorrow and see Adam. I never understood what I did for him to hate me so much. I just have to get through the next few months of school and then I'll be out of here for good.

I check the time, 11:20 . I turn my laptop and lights off and get under my covers. I soon felt myself going into a deep slumber.

---Morning---

I woke up and changed into black ripped jeans, black crop top, gray cardigan and my white vans. I brushed my hair and curled it. I put on foundation, winged eyeliner, waterproof mascara and chapstick.I grabbed my backpack and walked out my house.

I walked in the school and looked around to see if Adam was here yet. I didn't see him and let out a breath out of relief. I got to my locker and got the books I needed

I closed my locker and saw Carter leaning against the locker beside me. I jumped a little but he just laughed at my reaction.

"Hey Carter, what's up?"I ask. "hey and good. did I do something to for you to not like to me?" he asked

"No it's not that I don't like you. I do" I said. "so you like me?huh" he said with a smirk plastered on his face

"No! as friend I like you as a friend" I said responding quickly

"Then why do you always try to ignore me?" he asked

"Cause no-one wants to be friends with me" I said looking down

"I want to be your friend Bella"he said

"Why? why would you want to be friends with a loser like me" I said looking at and see a flash of sadness through his eyes

"Bella. hey look at me" he says lifting my head up to look at him "I don't think your a loser, I want to be your friend cause I think your a very nice girl and I want to get to know you.OK" he said and I nod my head

"I should get going to class.bye Carter" I said

"bye Bella" I walked away from Carter and made my way to my first period. I then felt someone grab me from my wrist and punch me in the jaw .

" You stupid bitch!! " Adam says kicking and throwing punches at me. " your boyfriend isn't here to protect you know huh!!" he yells throwing punches at me from every direction

"You worthless piece of shit. no one wants you. you can't get rid of me I'm your worst night mare" he kicks me really hard one last time before leaving me there.

I couldn't move. Everything in my body felt numb I felt the floors were moving.

I regained my strength and stood up. I walked to the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror and saw the cuts and bruises on my face. I got my makeup out and tired to hide the bruises that I had on my face and then walked out and walked to my class.

****Lunch****

"Bella!!" I hear my name being shouted. I turn around and come face to face with Carter.

"hey Carter" I said looking down so he wouldn't see me

" hey. you have lunch this period right?" he asked and I nod my head. "what if you and me go and get something to eat?" he asked

" uh yeah sure" I said still keeping my head down

" Bella. look at me. please" he said and I looked up at him

he gasped when saw me

"What happened? did Adam do this you" he said. I knew he was talking about the bruises but I decided I was going to act dumb

"what do y-you mean?" I said

"Bella don't act dumb" he said his voice almost raising in anger. I stayed quiet not wanting to tell him what happened

"Bella! did he fucking do this to you!" he yelled making everyone look at us. I nod my head

"That son of bitch. he's going to fucking pay for this." he said trough gritted teeth

"NO!!! your just going to make things worse. please"I beg him grabbing his arm before he could go and find Adam

"Fine I won't do anything but if this happens again I won't hesitate to beat his ass and you have to promise to tell me. Ok" he says

"ok I promise" I said smiling and feel a wave of relief that I stopped Carter from beating Adam, because if I didn't I would for sure get extra beating from Adam .

"c'mon lets go and get something to eat" he said grabbing my hand. I let out a small gasp and pull my hand back when I felt a small tingle go up my arm. he turns around and looks at me when I let go of his hand

"Whats wrong?" he asked

"nothing" I replied we walk out and head to his car. Carter opens the door for me to get in and runs to his side of the car and gets in. he starts the car and backs out the parking lot and drives out of the school.
