Niall's Long Lost Friend

Chapter 2

-Kayla's POV-

  After the last bell of the school day rang, I had to head down to the girls' locker room to change in my softball practice clothes. One of the softball players, Mckenzie, was in the corner changing and I approached her. "Hey,"  I said to her. She turned around and waved. "I have One Direction tickets!" she said excitedly. I nearly collapsed from excitement. "How many?!" I asked. "I have four because they gave me to extra," she answered. But she had a smile on her face. "Can I have those two extra?" I asked. "I'll give them to you after practice," she replied. I'm actually getting to see One Direction! I love One Direction. Then I realized: 'Niall is in One Direction.' But the tickets were front row seats. It'll be ok as long as I go to one of their concerts. Me and Mckenzie finished getting ready, grabbed our bats and equipment, and went to the field. I went to practice my pitches because today was the tryouts for pitcher and catcher. Mckenzie was trying out too, but for catcher. The most hated girl on the team, Mariyah, was trying out for pitcher also. Nobody liked her, not even the coaches. But hey, I'm a better player than she is so I am pretty much confident in my pitches. Alexa Rodriguez was trying out for pitcher too and I knew we were two of the best players, so I knew one of is would make pitcher. Coach Hendricks came out along with our female pitching coach, Ms. Overton. Me and Alexa were good friends, so we knew not to let whoever got pitcher get in the way of our friendship. The tryouts began as soon as they got out. We were told to demonstrate each step of pitching and then we were told to actually pitch the ball. I did ok, but I knew that it would be ok. We then went to run laps around the field as a warmup. Mckenzie came towards me. "The tickets are in your bag in the locker room in your locker," she whispered to me. "Thanks Mckenzie," I thanked her. She nodded her head. When practice ended, I had to call Allison and tell her the news! So that's what I did.

A: Allison

K: Kayla

A: Hello?

K: Guess what Ali?

A: What's up Kay Kay?

K: I got One Direction tickets!

A: Shut up!

K: I'm serious! Good thing we leave for the concert when softball and football cheerleading season ends!

A: When is the concert?

K: November 10th.

A:What row did we get?

K: The first row!

A: OMG I love you!

K: I know you do! Love you too!

A: I'm coming over to discuss some things about the concert!

K: Ok!

A: See ya in a few.

Then she hung up. I can tell she was excited. She lives like a walking distance from me. I had to tell her because I know how much she loves One Direction. And 5sos was opening for them but I didn't tell her that yet. I soon heard a knock on my door. It was Allison. "Hey there babes," she said. I waved seductively. We sat down on the loveseat talking about the concert. "I'm excited!" she said. "And I didn't tell you the best part," I began, "5sos is opening for them!" She like practically screamed. "Omg I'm like quadruple excited!" I told her Makayla and Alexa were going too. "Awesome," Ali said, "do they have front row tickets too?" "Yerp," I answered. She went home ten minutes later because we had school tomorrow. I can't wait til the concert. 'It'll be amazing!' I thought before I went to sleep that night.
