When we see something that catches our eyes, it is so hard to Ignore it.

Chapter Two
Speechless

I completely hate taking the school's bus home, so I decided to walk home instead. The time was really chilly, as winter was drawing near. Not even my grey sweater could help to keep me warm, it seemed to just be another piece of clothing on my body.

The place was almost dark, as the sun was now setting.

I wish I had a car.

I continued around the corner. My house was kind of far from my school, but it was walking distance.

I heard the loud engine of a sports car then coming from behind. It got louder as I heard it slow down to bend the corner, then I finally heard it regain its speed. As it came closer to me, the sound of the engine calmed.

"Hey there. Why are you walking alone? Don't you think it's a little bit too dark for that?" The female asked cheerfully.

I kept my eyes on the road ahead of me as I kept on walking. I was trying not to seem ill-mannered so I replied as politely as I could.

"No, it's quite fine, but thank you for your concern. I can handle myself."

I saw from my peripheral view that the car drove along side of me, keeping up with my slow pace.

"At least let me help you get to wherever it is you're going. It's not safe walking at night alone, especially since the streets are deserted."

I stopped, and so did the car.
I sighed, before giving into the female's offer.

"Okay, fine. I'll let you help me, but just-"

I turned around only to see that the person in the driver's seat was a beautiful brunette. She had her hair in a messy bun, complementing her gorgeous face. She looked up at me through the opened car door window, smiling.

"What is it?" She asked me keeping on her perfect smile, with a somewhat confused facial expression - I think amusement hid behind that smile of hers.

"N-n-nothing."

Lying is bad, I know, but I couldn't have just told her, "You're so gorgeous."

"Then get in."

Without hesitation, I followed her instruction.

The car ride was quiet, nothing was really said. I just sat there, looking through the reeled up window - I was trying to refrain myself from staring at the driver next to me.

The smell of leather was over powering. The cold air from the air conditioner had caused goosebumps to form on my skin, and to make me shiver slightly. I just wanted to be in my warm bed, wrapped up in my bed sheets.

Instead I'm in an extremely cold car, shivering to my near death. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that this girl was generous enough to drive me home, but couldn't she just turn the air conditioning up a bit - by a bit I meant a lot.

I finally saw the peak of my house, across from where we were in the distance, and internally cheered.

"You see the peak of that big, single house to our left. Just across the tall field of grass surrounding it?"
